The opening cannot be sealed, many ants easily go into sugar.

I had an old glass sugar dispenser for over 20 years but the opening at the top was no longer sealed when I closed it so the sugar would harden. Time for a replacement. I looked through the options on Amazon and narrowed it down to this Oxo piece. I'm very happy with my choice and I hope this one lasts as long or longer than my first one. It is well sealed and the opening is great for the perfect amount for sugar to come out. It holds a nice amount of sugar so no need to refill very often. Overall an excellent piece.
