Dowels that work. No issues using to join boards into a panel.

I started out cutting dowels from a dowel rod... then I counted how many I would need and abandoned that in a hurry. I ended up using 93 of the 100, and didn't have any issues with any of them. Nothing was too tighter or too loose, but there was slight variation. I'd use them again.

Exactly what I thought it would be

The 3/8" dowels I received are slightly oversized (0.383"), making them much too tight in a 3/8" hole. This required multiple clamps to close the gap between pieces. After struggling with the first few joints it hit me that I could just use a 29/64" drill bit (1/64" oversized) to open up the holes after the initial drilling with my doweling jig. This Extra step is a little annoying, but I much prefer it to another set of dowels from another listing that arrived undersized and were completely unusable. The dowels are still tight and still require clamps to close fully, but with much less effort. The length is spot on at 2". I'll order these again since a majority of other listings seem to be metric dowels relabeled as imperial making them too small for standard imperial sized holes.

Yes they met my expectations. As you can see, they are holding each piece of cedar to each other for the cedar clock I built.
