Beautiful Quilling Step-by-Step

In my pre-bifocal life I spent many hours in thread-work -- simple to complex crochet, knitting, cross-stitch and hardanger. I just can't see well enough now to do that fine threadwork and really missed it. Quilling is incredibly simple to learn, inexpensive; projects work up very quickly, and I can SEE what I'm doing! I can tell already the design possibilities range from very simple to very elaborate, yet easy to make. I'm just beginning, and am so glad to have gotten this as my first book on the subject. It gave me all the basics, supplies needed, and illustrated clear instructions for the different quilled shapes used in designs. There are full, illustrated instructions for many beautiful projects, all wonderful on their own and as future project inspiration. As a retiree, I have to think about the value of any purchase, especially those "optional" ones made for simple enjoyment. I consider price versus value in enjoyment, and at roughly $20, this book is a tremendous bargain.

I love the versatility of the book; it had so many shapes & ideas for beginner quillers like me. The instructions are very thorough & each item has great illustrations. Also, reach project has templates & design guides for you to set up on a quilling board. So you can approach a project however you learn best. With the money... It will be part of a well used collection!

It’s a awesome book

About half of the book focuses on three dimensional quilling of things like fairies and angels, as well as a section on making realistic looking paper chocolates, so it lost a point for me. However, there is some excellent discussion about how to create themes and motifs, not to mention the instructions to make the various projects are very clear. I learned about some different ways to do husking and some of the projects are amazingly pretty - especially for how simple some of the projects are.

Love the projects. Photos are great. Varied projects. This book is not for beginners. I am not advanced yet but certainly ready to take on more advanced work. Wish I had found this book earlier.

I read the reviews on this before buying, and was very impressed with quality and how much you got for the price. I priced some of the pieces at Hobby Lobby..if you bought everything separately you would pay more than double. Only thing ,this comes from China, and all instructions are done in Chinese. ;Go to you tube...it gives you great instructions on how to use the pieces. Would buy again for a gift.

I like this quilling book bc it is all in color and gives step by step directions.

I chose this book as just starting out with Quilling, it offered three different authors with a variety of designs and instruction. Being of the older generation. I find it difficult to follow a new craft/idea on the internet and still value books. My order was delivered very quickly and the book arrived in excellent condition. I have found the book to be invaluable with the instruction it contains and very easy to follow. I have created my first designs and I am very pleased with the outcome. Even if you are skilled at quilling, this book is still very handy for the designs and templates. For those interested, check out the middle section for the free standing fairies and angels, they are just beautiful, can't wait to have ago when I am a little more experienced. I also received a follow up email from the Company, to make sure I received the book and was satisfied with it and the service. I certainly am, I will recommend to all crafters. For anyone who is thinking of having ago, this is a very relaxing and satisfying craft and not as difficult as you might think, have a go.

Enfin un livre en Anglais qui est fourni en explications claires même si on ne comprend pas l'Anglais. Beaucoup de différentes techniques, papier glacé, je recommande ce livre
