I use Tom Yum paste as a substitute for chili paste and really enjoy the taste. It’s hard to describe, but it elevates the flavor to a level you’d expect from a Thai restaurant, rather than a home-cooked meal. I highly recommend it for beginners who want to achieve the authentic taste of this highly regarded Thai cuisine
