Great!
These are great! I carry these on me at work and in my personal time! I am a canine handler that is assigned to the school resource division, so it has multi-purpose. These are the best all around tourniquets because they work on canines, small children, and adults. They are super easy and simple to use, and small enough to carry around. These are extremely durable and worth every penny since they can save a life if need be!

Easiest Tourniquet To Use - Pets and Children
A note on most of the Cat 5 and similar tourniquets you find on Amazon are complete fakes. A real CAT tourniquet should run you 30-50 dollars a piece but the market is flooded with non functioning fake ones that snap under tension. The SWAT T in my opinion are far more dynamic and useful and are better suited for animals, children and other medical or emergency uses. A few years ago when I was working in security I deployed a SWAT T on a small boy who had cut himself on glass inside a swimming pool on his wrist (his mother had a glass of wine on the deck that was nocked over and as he was pulling himself out of the pool he dragged his wrist across the broken glass) and the bleeding simply would not stop. I was able to get the tension I needed with the SWAT T by wrapping it SEVERAL and I mean several times. When EMS arrived they were really grateful for the fact that I had a SWAT T tourniquet because the size of the kids arms would not have been possible to deploy a CAT tourniquet because there would have been too much of a gap between the strap and the torque toggle. Ive also used one on a sprained ankle while hiking. They may not be the fastest to deploy like a CAT tourniquet but I think for their compactness and versatility these are far better options than the CAT.

Perfect for Humans or K9s
These things are versatile and perfect for bleeding control in adults, pediatrics, and K9 situations. The design is ingenious. The price has been going up, like everything, but they are worth it. They are extremely well made and durable. They stand up to all conditions.

Multiple uses not just a TQ
First I’ll say have a CAT TQ on hand if you want or need a TQ. Yes you can use this as a TQ as intended but it’s really multi use for me. If you need a TQ for a child this would work. It can also be used as a pressure bandage. Could be used in smaller animals if badly injured too. Nice and compact for pocket carry. The only downside to me is it’s packaged in a plastic material with precut openers but if you get any blood on your hands prior to opening it may be an issue. You can open it and have it folded but its consistency may make it more difficult to pull out of a pocket and it may unfold. I think it’s a good tool to have and understand how to use it when or if needed.

Covers what a CAT can’t
On a full grown adult, these are not as effective as a CAT tourniquet for arterial bleeds. With that being said, the SWAT-T can be a better choice for pediatric patients or service dogs as they hold better on funnel shaped limbs (and fur). They can also serve as a pressure dressing over gauze pads/trauma dressings. They are also more compact that most alternatives. Downsides: they can be tricky to apply correctly especially with copious bleeding, wet hands etc. It helps to wrap first wrap just tight enough to stay and then wrap tightly (make the printed diamonds into squares). As always…. Train before you need it! There is no mechanical advantage(such as a windlass) in these tourniquets. You must wrap extremely tight to occlude blood flow.

Easy to everywhere and works for most people.
This an absolutely high quality product. These tourniquets provide an amazing and easy to carry stop the bleed option for people of all sizes. While traditional tourniquets may not work for very small people and children, this product will certainly work for virtually anyone.

This Tourniquet is easy to apply and uses state of the art materials - I love these!
I'm a retired Firefighter and EMT. These tourniquets are easy to apply, easily adjustable, if needed, and use material that covers a wide enough area to not cause additional injury. When you wrap it, pressure from wrap can be distributed. Each one wrapped in a sterile aluminum foil type bag. I think these are one of the best available options and after finding them, have replaced my other tourniquets with this type in all 3 of my kits; my home, vehicle and range bags. Options are always good. Small size of these, easy to have two in your kit.

Great TQ for school monitors, children's ministries, and anyone with small children
The SWAT-T is one tourniquet that you do not have to worry about something breaking. Very easy to apply to another person, assuming you have the strength to stretch the rubber band. Each subsequent wrap has an additive effect for applying pressure. A quick search of YT will show a police officer attempting to put on a CAT TQ on a small child with great difficulty due to small diameter of child's arm. Our church has a number of SWAT-Ts in their first aid kit and I carry two while serving as a monitor at my grandson's K-8 school. One SWAT has been cut in half to increase the number that can potentially be treated, the other left intact. The reason for the 4 star rating for "Easy to Use" is that trying to self-apply the SWAT on an arm is challenging, I use my teeth to immobilize the leading edge. Practice using it before you actually have to apply it to your own arm. Applying to your own leg is not too difficult, but again practice before you have to use it for real.
