Introductory Mycology

Covers all the fundamentals as anyone going into this field would need.

The newest edition of this book is quite expensive and supposedly only available in India. This third edition is still a reputable and foundational mycology textbook cited by current microbiologist in academic settings. Came as advertised, slight wear and tear but nice notes and hand written script by a French mycologist!

I studied Mycology for some time and I can say this is a most in any library. It provides an excelent background, and with modern complementations it becomes a great source of knowledge...

The book's content is what I expected. The quality was not as described. There was not supposed to be any highlights or notes in the margins, and there are. Also the binding I'd coming undone, so I have to be careful opening it up. I would not have paid what I did for it if I'd known the quality was going to be so low.

It's a great book organismal biology of fungi but it is very much out of date in terms of taxonomy and some other things.
