This is the only yolk powder that does NOT contain anything else, just Dried Egg Yolk. Egg Yolk is great for hairball maintenance, because yolk acts as a emulsifier, which breaks up the fat holding a hairball together, and allows the hair to be passed with the stool. If your cat is suffering from hairballs, give 1/4tsp of egg yolk (raw or cooked), 2x a day. If after a few days to a week this does not help, then add in Egg Yolk Lecithin (1 600mg capsule) to one meal a day. The egg yolk lecithin is what breaks up the fat holding the hairball together. Egg yolk is a great way to help make the skin and coat shiny as well! It is full of beneficial fats and high in nutrients. If you can get Quail Eggs, those can be fed 1 a day, and pack a lot of nutrition in a tiny package! This is a great product. Made with all natural and minimal ingredients. Greta for baking and cooking. Tastes great! Dissolves easily in water or liquid of choice. What I like about it even more is that it's safe for both human and animal consumption. I mix a little bit in both of their foods as a topper and they both love it.

Passed the blind taste test compared to using fresh egg yolks so other than the effort to to get it saturated with the water, it works good. Using a high speed immersion blender helps with the initial mixing and removes any clumped powder but with curd, you always strain before adding the butter anyway.
