Well-Made, Secure, and Attractive
I’ve lived with MS for 30 years and wish I had installed this sooner. The Moen grab bar was easy to install, extremely sturdy, and—best of all—looks beautiful. It doesn’t feel like a handicap add-on at all. The curled grip is comfortable and secure. The end caps took a little extra effort to put on, but you can clearly hear them snap into place, which is reassuring. This grab bar completely took away the dread and worry I felt using the shower. Such a simple change made a huge difference.

Exceptional mounting design, but cover for screws lets water in
This is a solid and well-thought out design with good materials. The best part is that the mounting plate has many holes and slots for a lot of flexibility in mounting. This means you can mount it into a stud with a higher probability of success and for a variety of angles. . It feels very stable in the wall and in its own construction. Make sure to screw into a stud or ask a contractor to do it with the best anchors. Note that this does *not* include the fancy SecureMount anchor system, that is sold separately. . I chose this model because of the mounting plate and because the covers to hide the screws looked a little more homey and not so industrial like the ones we see in public bathrooms. Unfortunately these covers have large gaps in them which, depending on your application and their angle, can collect some water. For use in a shower, I recommend sealing them up with clear caulk. Other than that, the design looks very nice and should fit with modern or classic bathroom decor. . The screws it comes with are long and strong but the heads do tend to strip a little. I still used them. It also includes washers which is nice. . I got one with the Curled Grip and one without. There isn't a functional difference. I like the look of the smooth one the best. If you are really concerned with grip-ability I would look for another design that is knurled. . If you are installing this for a specific person, make sure to ask them their preferences!! A slight tilt (10-30 degrees) makes it much easier to grab and does not cause so much wrist strain. A 45 degree angle is not really necessary for many applications (like near toilet). Ask your loved one to sit or stand where the bar would be used and mark where their hand can reach and note the angles. This will make a big difference. I have had multiple surgeries and I learned this though first-hand experience. There are so many handicapped bathrooms and showers where the bars were just useless to me because I couldn't reach them. . Overall, recommended and will likely buy again as relatives need them.

Perfect For My Needs - Love The Look & Feel
Love the look of this bar in our shower. The diameter feels just right for grabbing. Very sturdy and not slippery when my hands are wet and I step my left leg out of the tub. I have the shorter bar on the door just outside the shower so I have something to grab onto as I move my right leg out. Easy 5 stars from me.

Best safety Bars
Best thing I bought to help for after surgery! Had a professional install so it was installed correctly and didn’t crack my tile. But well worth it to feel safe and looks good!

Grab Bars are Great; Mounting Screws Not so Much
I installed the 24" grab bars in a shower and next to a toilet. Since the 24" length did not line up to the wall studs, I opened up the walls and installed backing boards. It was a fairly lengthy project, but I wanted it done right. The bars are very sturdy and attractive. We already had Moen fixtures in the bathroom, so the color matches perfectly. The mounting screws that Moen provides are just about worthless, since it is very easy to strip out the tops where they meet the screwdriver. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and buy some good quality 2 1/2" construction screws.

Great quality, company.
If it's Moen you can't go wrong...I got another set to put in another bathroom and the quality and ease of installing (for someone else) was great. This set I forgot I wanted the person to install but I"m sure it's just as great a quality. The Moen company always does a quality product.

Installed in new bathroom. Looks great with a nice finish. Well made, feels substantial with grooves in the back that make it easier to hold. Very happy with this Moen product.

Our shower is in the tub with a step up. Should have installed this years ago. Don’t wait for a fall.

The product description indicates the grab bar can be installed with SecureMount hardware. Not only does it not come with the hardware, it cannot be installed with it. Therefore, it has to be installed on the diagonal and into the wall studs. If it's not installed into the stud, it will pull out of the wall.
