I buy these regularly. I wish they came in packs of 2. They tend to yellow fairly quickly but are good for about a year. The chomper bits are firm but have a bit of give. I don't feel like I'm going to choke on them or suffocate, the thin piece that goes in front of my teeth actually seals mouth so it acts kind of like mouth taping (latest trend), and keeps you from swallowing spiders or other bugs while asleep because that's apparently a statistic. My molars do eventually poke holes in them (or little cuts) so I know it's time to replace. I soak regularly them in denture cleaner and brush them.

I've been using this mouth guard for about 5 years now (this exactly model) and I'm a very happy customer. The instructions inside tell you how to hold the guard in your mouth when you're sleeping, which to me was a revelation since I was biting down to keep it "in place" not realizing this defeats the purpose of having the mouth guard. I love that I don't have to boil it and swallow all that plastic water - not sure how safe that is. I like that the bitewings are adjustable. You may experience some irritation in your lower front gums but it should go away once you get used to it. I usually replace mine after 8 months, all you need to do is look at the bitewings and see how hard you've bitten down to see if you need to replace it. These types of guards are an excellent value for your money since if you get it from the dentist you'd pay $300 or more for a "permanent" one.

Fits well and is lasting a long time

This company USED to make mouth guards in many different sizes to fit all mouths. Over the last 10 years, they have stopped producing so many sizes and now only offer one. I've been wearing these for over 20 years, and now this brand is no longer comfortable in my mouth. I also don't like that it takes A MONTH after ordering to receive this item. Our 20 year relationship is ending because this company is cheaping out on its materials and no longer offers size choices. I've bitten through two of these in the last year. This time I ordered TWO, and they weren't shipped together. After a month, one came by USPS and the other through an Amazon truck. I ordered them at the SAME TIME!

I was hopeful about this product because it reads well and I’ve been using a dentist ‘made to fit’ guard for years that feels like wearing a hockey guard - it’s massive. But this item just doesn’t stay in place. I tried all the sizing offered and the strap that’s supposed to sit in front of the lower gum, constantly slides up so the whole thing is loose in your mouth so you basically have to bite down in order to keep it in place. Kinda defeats the purpose, no? I don’t know how it got so many good reviews?🤷🏻♀️
