I have a 7lb, 14-year-old maltese. She is a super picky eater, and I'd tried so many different brands and food. I researched a lot and decided to go for the raw home made diet for her. However, it's kinda hard to blance the nutritions, and my dog doesn't digest the raw meat very well. Luckily, she loves this powder with cooked shredded chicken breast! I mix a variety vagetables every time she eats her meal, too. It contains liver and bone so I don't have to worry about the balance of my dog's food. My only concern is I'm following the guideline of the product for the amount of daily food, but my dog seems that she wants more and she's hungry all the time. So I increased the amount a little bit. I wish the guideline for making the food is more clear to follow because it says I need to combine water, meat, and vegetables with powder and gives me the total daily weight of food. Somehow, it's so confusing. Also I'm a little concerned that it is high in sodium which I don't know why.. Overall, this is very good product and I'll keep using it.

I love this product. I know my dogs are getting all the nutrients necessary. My naturopathic vet sold me my first package so I know it's a good product. I also give give them a special raw food diet diet of meat from a clean butcher: 40 pounds of poultry 2 pounds of tripe 2 pounds of liver 2 pounds of heart Frozen in 2 lb packs. To make sure they get a balanced diet. Plus Organic Veggies blended which I make a batch and freeze. Broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, green beans wild blue berries and sometime add organic canned pumpkin. All good fiber so they don't get concepated plus more nutrients. I also give them probiotics. My 14 year old Yorkie-poo is running around like a puppy no kidding and has more energy than my 7 year old Yorker. It is so awesome! If you want to extend your dogs life I highly recommend thus diet.

I used to cook her food from scratch, and it would take HOURS every week. It got very tiring very fast. But with this, It only takes an hour from driving to buy meat to portioning the finished meals. I’d say the smell of it is not bad or very strong- about how kibble would smell. I bought this for a trial run, but the value for the 5lb bag lasts for months. Of course, bigger dogs go through powder faster- my dog is 40 lbs. This has definitely got to be the sweet spot between the convenience of kibble and health factor of feeding raw, which is perfect for me. I’d recommend this!

I love this product, I have been using it for years, when it used to be Better in the raw! Unfortunately, the quantity has reduced in the bags, and the price has skyrocketed, so I cannot afford it anymore! I would have to try to find the individual ingredients and add them to my dogs’ raw food diet!
