Amazing!
I purchased this phone to use as a secondary to my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I have been using the phone on AT&T over 2 months. The phone is very well built, and works very well. The phone is responsive and quick; however, some Kaios apps can be glitchy and crash. For example doodle jump will not work at all. With that being said, the phone is excellent regardless, and gathers a lot of attention.

Excellent connection with T-mobile 4G. Text and Voice work great.
Good phone for avoiding the big screen of todays touch screen phones. Beyond the voice and texting, the difficulty of using the other apps and features reduce the desire to get addicted to browsing the internet. Overall, it'll save you time. And yet, if it's so important that you need youtube, mapping, web surfing, and a QR reader (for menu's and other things) this phone can do it. It also makes for a good phone for middle-schoolers. One odd thing is that snakie didn't work. The other odd thing is that the battery charge % doesn't display by default in the upper corner. Need to go through the menu to find out.

Absolutely horrible, worst phone I've ever had
I had high hopes for this phone. All the bad reviews seemed to be people complaining that it doesn't have the same features of a smart phone (obviously) or that it's too hard for their grandmother to use. I have never owned a smartphone and this seemed like a good replacement for my Blackberry. It was not. The texting is absolutely horrible and aggravating to use. You cannot make it default to predictive text, meaning you have to press the # key 4 times EVERY single time you text to set it to predictive/T9. Why can't that just be the default? In the predictive text it is impossible to type the words "I" or "I'm", which is just unbelievable. You can't add them to dictionary either. There is no good way to capitalize letters using T9 either. It automatically installs pay-to-play games the first time you activate it, they cannot be uninstalled. With Ultra Mobile (Mint Mobile) voicemail cannot be accessed. Cannot play MP3's using an AUX cord or USB cord in my car, or any other vehicle. Even my MP3 player from 2007 can do that. When the display shuts off anything you have open will be closed. If you're in the middle of writing a text and set the phone down for a minute, the text is gone, no draft saved. MP3 player will often shutoff when screen goes dark too (but not always) Randomly drops signal and it can only be recovered by switching airplane mode off and on again. Have missed important texts and calls for this reason. Interface is SLOW and cumbersome. Often have to open and close text menu to get it to work. I feel like designers of this phone put too much effort into making it "smart-ish" while neglecting the basics, like easy texting. This is an utterly frustrating device to own and absolutely not worth the price. Save yourself the grief and buy something different.

Adjust Expectations, Know What You're Buying
In the current age, where people are having fistfights over the newest iPhone, when apps and notifications gives one anxiety, I too became enamored by the simpler times when phones literally cannot do half the things that today's phones can easily do. This is the expectations I had when I bought this. With that said, let's discuss the Pros and Cons of having "dumb" phones and especially this one. PROS: 1, Weight of this phone, is simply amazing. I can fit this in my front pocket and not feel like I am carrying a brick. The first few weeks I would frequently think I had forgotten to carry my phone only to realize "oh yeah, this phone is featherlight" compared to nearly every smartphone I've ever had. 2, Battery Life - it is better than anything in the smartphone category. Now the very point of having a dumb phone is that you're not supposed to be glued to this thing using it constantly. If you're using this to periodically send texts or check an email or two (I'll discuss the browser later), so far the battery can easily lasts you 3-5 days. Now, I have days where I used this more intensely, this can shorten the battery life up to 2 days, maybe shorter. The battery is replaceable, so if this really becomes an issue, perhaps buying a new battery is in order. 3, Overall Interface - KaiOS is not perfect, but again, for a "dumb" phone that has smartphone apps like WhatsApp it is great! It is running on 4G LTE! If you really are in a crunch, the hotspot on this was great! I had my old Smartphone with me early on just in case I'm like "Oh dear G-d what have I done?!" and I only had to use the hotspot once and it functioned fabulously! So now let's talk about the "neutral" stuff, and these are neutral to me, you may find these things pros or cons depending on what you're looking for. Now "neutral" item 1, the camera - this is your classic, crappy phone cameras that I remember from high school. This will not, will never take great photos! Let's not even talk about if the lighting is terrible. Don't buy this camera if you must have a nice camera. 2, You need to manually turn on certain types of notifications to make sure you get those. So I wanted to make sure I get the text messages from my wife, that is always a priority and I had only learned more than 2 weeks later the reason I didn't always get them right away is because you had to manually make sure notifications are available when I want them to. But this was easily remedied and now I am getting them, so beware. 3, the Brower ... well, I do check emails on this and these old school HTML works okay on it. I only have 2 email addresses where I like to make sure emails are read timely. But this is about it, nearly every other website will not work on this. So don't expect to read anything data heavy on this. Now let's go into the Cons, and they're Cons to me and my needs so you may also not agree. 1, lack of group text availability. So I don't enjoy getting texts from anyone except maybe 10 people, and of those, some are our couple friends that we only group text. This phone is capable of receiving group texts but you cannot send them. When you are replying to the group text you receive, they'll be sent out as individual texts to the recipients. This is annoying! 2, you cannot uninstall the 9 stupid games it comes with. Look if I enjoyed mobile gaming I wouldn't have bought this phone, so I wish KaiOS would let us uninstall these and free up more space. 3, Google Maps actually doesn't work well on this. It crashed constantly when I do try to use it. Not that I really need it always, but my vehicle is Samsung Auto enabled which means I don't have GPS in the vehicle because obviously this phone won't run Samsung Auto. So if I really needed to find direction somewhere, I guess my wife would need to use her smartphone. So this is my very details review of Nokia 6300 4G and please do know that you're buying a phone that is not an iPhone, not a Galaxy. Know what you're buying and I gave it 4/5 stars because of the Cons I gave. But I am very happy with this phone!!
