UPDATE: So I took these for three months before TTC and got pregnant fairly quickly. Currently about halfway through my pregnancy and my bloodwork looks good and baby is growing well! I did have a huge problem with the taste during first trimester, but managed to force them down. Now I'm back to having no problem with the taste. I'm almost tempted to dock it a star for how bad it tasted during first tri but YMMV so I didn't. It's done everything I wanted and the main downside is just the cost compared to some cheaper brands. I have not had any issues with constipation or keeping it down. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I started taking these because I will be TTC soon and wanted the Folate now, and wanted to figure out a good prenatal now. I am mildly anemic and have attempted taking iron supplements before, but they made me feel so nauseous and sick that I stopped. Due to that, I was willing to spend a bit more on a prenatal that could actually get some iron in me and keep it down. This one with the two pills per day instead of one, less than 100% iron, and NO calcium to hinder the iron absorption, sounded like a perfect fit. Very happy to report that I have had no issues keeping these down, even taking them on an empty stomach. I feel more energetic than normal. It has a slight citrus taste, I can't say it is a good taste, but it is not repulsive and does not leave an aftertaste. The pill is large but that's to be expected of a two a day/one a day multivitamin pill, I think. Particularly with the iron. If large pills are a problem for you I'd recommend looking for something with more frequent but smaller doses. I plan to take Megafood's DHA & choline supplement as well as a vitamin C supplement while pregnant. If I take a blood test during the pregnancy I will update this review with the results...

Great ingredients! Pill is large but can easily be broken in half. Lots of reviews about bad taste. If you take with milk, you can't taste anything. Definitely a better option for prenatals.

Love these vitamins and they don’t make me sick!

In my personal opinion, I think this is the best prenatal. I’ve done a lot of research and this prenatal has everything you absolutely need in great quantities. Just make sure you are taking your omegas/DHA separately as this does not contain it. I personally use Nordic Naturals and I love them. These pills are quite large and taste very natural but it’s not a problem to me. I will continue taking these pills and then transition to their postnatal line when time comes.

Love these prenatals! I took these during my pregnancy and have continued taking them postpartum. I love that they have a nice taste to them. They taste a little sour like a lemon. I also love that the ingredients are really clean. I was looking for a prenatal with folate and not folic acid and these have folate. They are sometimes a little hard for me to swallow if I don’t have enough water in my mouth. Other than that I’ve been feeling great taking these postpartum everyday. I included a video so you can see how large the supplements are. Highly recommend these for any mama looking for a non toxic prenatal to take during pregnancy and postpartum.

​I am not actually pregnant but my nutritionist recommended this specific prenatal because I have low ferritin and the MTHFR gene mutation. My doctor confirmed I have high homocysteine and after reviewing the ingredients they agreed this was a great option for me. It contains the iron I need and the specific methylated form of folate that my body can actually process. I also really appreciate that it comes in a glass bottle to protect the integrity of the vitamins instead of cheap plastic. ​The pills are rather large so you should definitely keep that in mind if you have trouble swallowing bigger supplements. I personally do not mind the size at all but I know it can be a dealbreaker for some people. My only real complaint is the taste and the smell. It is not completely awful but it has that very common earthy and slightly weird vitamin scent. Since I have to take these for the long haul I would love if they tasted a little better but the quality of the ingredients makes it worth it. I will definitely keep ordering these for the health benefits regardless of the smell.

Great prenatal with most the needed vitamins. I take it in the morning sometimes just with milk and it does not make you sick. The taste is not the best, but keeping them in the freezer helps and take them with something other than water.

This is a great vitamin for prenatal and it’s great cause it’s food based. Only the best for our littles! Doesn’t make me nauseous because of that!
