Awesome bench power supply!
Easy to use and plenty of power! However, the rear power switch started to fail after a few months. Fortunately they sent a replacement switch ASAP which fixed the issue. A+ customer service!

works well but is noisy
Well if you need it you need it and there is nothing that does this at 18amps. Easy to use, love wifi, cannot figure out a few things but oh well it does more than i expected to start with. not for use in the bedroom :-), is loud as others noticed. For the noise you can find some suggestions online as this unit is fairly popular and lot of DIY for it. I got it to charge my batteries and for small design projects. I have seen that there is plenty of noise on the output so for precise electronics you may need to add a circuit to clean it up. overall i am happy i do not need to baby sit as I can see what is going on via my cell phone via my network and that includes temperature sensors.

A good power supply at an affordable price
This is the "fully" assembled version of the product with the case and the power supply included. I quoted "fully" because actually, I had to re-open the box to connect the external temperature sensor, reattach properly the power supply connector to the main board and insert a CR1220 battery I had to provide. Now, this product does not come with a power cord nor a USB cable, you have to supply them which surprised me, especially the power cord like if it was optional rather than an essential part of a power supply, this I really don't get... Luckily, I had one handy. This should be mentioned in the product description and the product description should also be corrected about the USB cable as it is not included. The product itself works pretty well even though there are some quirks like: - the main switch at the rear is a real pain as the unit is quite long and not easily reachable when stacked with other equipments, that is a star left. This thing is consuming power when in sleep mode (screen off but front button blinking). - the display which jumps a little bit in voltage while when measured is actually very stable - the beeps should be less agressive, it is so annoying that everybody is shutting it off - the ventilation opening are a joke, not to mention the height of the feet leaving very little fresh air coming in from underneath and the inside gets pretty hot very quickly kicking of the noisy fans too often to my taste - the curve display is not really helpful since, you cannot navigate it, it is real time and not really indicative given the available scales - the refresh rate settings are weird, when on slow, values are relatively stable but when set to middle or fast, it becomes inaccurate since values are jumping so fast. - no Mac OS version of the software, this is a real bummer!! - no possibility to charge a battery with a BMS, that is also a bummer!! The battery is actually not detected when empty while going on power supply mode, it works, so why providing such a useful feature if we cannot use it with safe batteries? So far, apart from the little things I am complaining above, this product is a great addition to my mini-lab since I a just a hobbyist and I don't need the super expensive machinery which goes with a real lab.

Item arrived dead and failed to power on. It came without a three prong power cord I had to supply.

Works well, modular and fairly inexpensive
I bought the whole machine, with the case, power supply and converter. I probably overpaid a little compared to buying it separately but I liked have the case. It let me 3D print a custom bracket for it to be angled to eye level. It works well enough and it's very easy to use and read. Better value than buying one of the purpose built variable power supplies. If they break, you're stuck with a paper weight, here you have three separate components that can be replaced over time. The generic 60V power supply will likely crap out at some point, but for the price that's fine. When it eventually happens i'll replace it with a higher quality one. At least he whole unit won't have to be scrapped. The power supply is a bit "noisy" (audible not electrical) there's a warning and resistor to add to lessen the noise, but DC power output seems pretty clean so i'm not bothered by it. Would recommend and will likely buy another one. Maybe i'll design my own case for it

Item arrived in the small S60 case and not the S12A-S800 case
This means they could not possibly install any PSU other than a very cheap, miniaturized power supply inside that will probably only last a month. This one came from AVHzY store and it looks like they are cutting corners BIG TIME. It's probably going back because I already have an S60 case and wanted one in the S12A case for using larger and better power supplies. UPDATE: I was wrong about the case. The differences are subtle and mostly have to do with internal mounting and location of on/off switch and AC plug. I was expecting a physically larger case but the 65v 800watt power supply fits inside no problem. The unit was as expected and works well. Recommended

Can sustain at ~780w. Strong burning plastic smell
Item can sustain 780w output, close enough to the 800w rating. Efficiency not so good: when outputing 780w it draws around 860w, making it less than 90% efficient. STRONG burning plastic smell: while internal temperature only reached ~110f, the smell was so strong I had to open the windows for ventilation in my RV. They're using some cheap plastic here.

Great, versatile PSU
This is a great addition to any work bench. Great price, versatile and easy to use. It comes as a kit but was very simple to put together. I really appreciate the battery charge function that just requires you to set the charge voltage and max current and then takes it from there. The one off thing for me is the placement of the ground terminal with regards to the battery charge terminal and the positive terminal. It would have been nice if the ground were in the middle and the two others on each side to facilitate the use of standard dual banana jacks. I would highly recommend this PSU, I am considering purchasing another.
