I use this for when I go XC mountain biking in the FL trails. Where I ride gets a bit sandy and dirt is always flying up to where my water bottle cages are. I bought these specifically to keep the spout clean and it does a great job at that. There is also some insulation and it works better than regular bottles at keeping the water cool but out in the heat for 30+ minutes, it’s basically not keeping the water that cool anymore so take that for what it’s worth. The mud cap is removable as well as the inner parts of the spout so that you can effectively clean everything. The only problem you can run into is that you can misplace some of those parts and then you’d have to replace it. All things considered, it’s a great option for keeping your water somewhat cool and the spout clean from dirt and sand.

Here are my 2 cents on this Podium insulated bottle by CamelBak: Pros 👍👍👍 - Dirt-Proof: This was the selling point for me. I've tried different bottles in the past, including one from Schwinn. This one worked the best at keeping (most) dust away from the drinking spout 🙌 - Locking Function: No Spills, No Squirts and No Surprises! - Overall, really good fit and finish. Cons 👎👎👎 - Insulation: It's a good idea on paper but in reality it has limited functionality. That's a nice way of saying, it doesn't really work! - A little pricy. My Recommendation 🤔 If you enjoy riding your bike and are tired of ingesting dirt, this bottle is for you! This bottle has served me very well. If anything, I need another bottle cage and second bottle! Can't wait for the next time it goes on sale! Note on Cleaning 🧴🫧🤔 I've seen one review that shows this bottle can get moldy. That was a little concerning to me but I rinse mine with warm water and dish soap after each ride and let it air dry on a rack. Honestly, I haven't experienced any mold or smell in my bottle. So, I got back into riding. I wanted cold water. This said insulated, but they really mean just that. It's like beer coozy insulated with a little air gap - but not a vacuum. So, if you put a lot of ice, and water, it'll last a couple hours and still be cold. I really like the cap, works great to squeeze, keeps dirt out. Great water bottle. Now, if you want ice cold water, the Camelbak Mag-Chute 20oz fits in the bottle holder. That will keep water cold with some ice all day in direct sun. It's vacuum sealed; however, it's metal, and you'd have to find a cap to your liking. Depending on the ride, or how long, or if you need more than 20oz of ice cold water, I might just put the 40oz mag-chute in a backpack. Hydration packs work great also, but not cold water.

Loved it, closure feature, easy to disassemble to clean, good seal minimal leakage, love the cap keeping dirt etc out the spout, only thing is would like if it kept things cold a bit longer, but still, great product, and for the price? A steal

My son needed a nonmetal water bottle for school. He also likes his drinks to be cold. I found this insulated plastic water bottle and he loves it! It’s leak proof, keeps his water cold and is the perfect size! I ended up buying a second one.

Dirt cap is great for rides or the work rucksack. Just make sure you screw tightly! Keeps drink cool for longer. Survives dishwasher with no probs. Bought another.
