update: peas will not soften even after days of soaking or hours of boiling!
so i have had these for a couple weeks now and i thought my first couple attempts to cook them i must have been doing something wrong. turns out If the peas are very old and dried out, they won't soften. i have tried to soak these things for 2 days and then boiled them for up to 8 hours and the peas remained very hard in texture and never soften to the point it feels like your eating a wet sunflower seed. it tastes like peas but the texture is just very bad. hopefully the company will do something about this because from everything that i have read if you take all the steps properly split peas should soften in a matter of 20 or 30 minutes. this 25 pound bag i purchased must have been sitting on a warehouse shelf for a very long time before arriving to my door sadly.

Sweet and good
I just made a great soup using ham hocks and it was delicious. These are sweet and very clean. I love them already and will order again for sure. So clean tasting.

Dried split peas
I love them in my soup I make with all dried vegetables. They stay kinda firm and I like that. Good flavor too.

Organic, gluten free, and tasty
Was looking for peas that were both organic and truly gluten-free with no cross-contamination, something that can be hard to find. These were delicious and the celiac among us didn’t react. I’m stocking up now! Yum, German Erbsensuppe....

Green pea soup!!!
My mom looooves green pea soup. Decided to make it at home and ditch the sodium from the canned product. Improved packaging and all looks great. I havent cooked any as yet.
