UPDATE: After writing my review below the company contacted me to resolve the issue. Firstly I was impressed the company contacted me (loads wouldn’t have bothered) but what was even more impressive was their attitude and willingness to ensure I was happy with my purchase that ultimately resulted in them sending me replacement notebooks (with pen loop) free of charge which duly turned up today. In my my mind this is brilliant customer service and goes to show how much they care about their customers. On the back of this display I will definitely buy products from them again and wish the company every future success. Five stars!! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have to say, I feel slightly cheated. First world problems and all that but I didn’t realise the dark blue notebook doesn’t come with a pen holder. All the other colours do and I obviously didn’t notice that the dark blue was the only one that didn’t. Annoying as I wanted a notebook with the pen holder and if I’d known I would have got a different colour. Why on earth the dark blue one doesn’t have a pen holder is a complete and utter mystery. Anyway, mini rant over - I just wish that point was made a little clearer (although to be fair is does say it in the description). Apart from that the product seems all perfectly reasonable for the money and looks like it will do the job.

Overall this is a fab notebook and I'm buying another after filling the last, over a year of regular use - that tells you all you need to know! For reference I wrote in it a couple of times a week and referred to it more often than that. In terms of quality and longevity it's right in between a 'throwaway' spiral bound pad and an artist quality moleskin journal 😉 The cover is sturdy and has a more expensive feel. The paper could be better (thicker) quality, if you use a fibre tip or dark pen you may be able to see it through the other side, but it's NOT that awful stuff which absorbs ink like tissue paper. However, I tend to use only one side of the paper for each entry so it works for me. The extra touches like pen holder, elastic and ribbon page marker make it excellent for all sorts of journalism or record keeping. Looking forward to getting a new one in a different colour this year!

I love this notebook, and will be buying more when I finish using this one. The cover is sturdy and soft to touch, and I really like the ribbon, elastic and pen loop. It’s not bulky. The pages are thin but not TOO thin, good quality, and nice to write on. The lines are small which is perfect to not waste space, and the date header at the top of the page is a nice touch. Even without the very reasonable price, this is a great notebook

Simple and reliable notebook, does exactly what you need. Good size for general use, whether it’s notes, planning, or everyday writing. The hardback cover gives it a bit more durability, and the pages are easy to write on. Been using it regularly with no issues.

Bought these notebooks in a few colours but wish I'd shopped around a bit more first. The notebooks have solid covers and the colours are nice and bright. The elastic to close and pen loop are nice details and the ribbon to mark pages is good quality too. However, the pages are very thin, even with just a standard biro you can clearly see what's written on previous pages, not something that usually bothers me but it is very noticeable with these. I've only been writing in one for a few pages (using to keep track of recipes) and the spine is already very brittle feeling, like it may come away. Also I feel like they are quite overpriced.
