Great intro bowfishing rig
I bought this bow in the spring to try bow fishing for the first time. On the first trip down the river I was able to get a nice long-nose gar. As soon as I got home I purchased an upgraded AMS reel to make the reeling much faster. You can hand reel the spool, but it is slower, so an upgrade is much more helpful. The bow is great. The finger savers are nice helpful if your spending the day bow fishing. The nock eventually broke off of the arrow after about twelve trips down the James River, but that was due to a lot of abuse. This bow is nice and light and not too long compared to similar versions of other brands. I also upgraded the arrow rest to an AMS enclosed rest because occasionally the arrow would fall off of the side and I would have to use my finger to hold it in place until I was ready for a fish. An enclosed arrow rest allows you to take your finger off of the arrow and is much easier when on the water all day. I would suggest this bow to anybody who is interested in trying bowfishing for the first time. It has everything you need for the first time out: Bow, spool, string, and an arrow. You will not be dissappointed unless you want a faster reel when retreiving your arrows.

Good product Good price
Good setup, a little under powered. I am looking for stronger limbs.

Great bow, perfect draw weight
This bow is amazing, I am an avid bowfisherman and have utilized multiple rigs throughout the years. This is by far the best, I may be biased at this point due to having used compound bows predominately but none the less this bow is incredible. It is not heavy, it feels great in the hand and the draw weight is perfect. This rig allows enough power to sink an arrow in a fish as well as shoot completely through depending on how far your draw it, all the while maintaining a smooth pull and straight shot. I plan to buy another one soon due to the high demand to shoot it from those who accompany me on outings, once they try it they don’t want to give it back!

Buy spare arrows, 400lb line, spare safety slides
Great bow, weak line. Snapped the line and lost my arrow on the 3rd draw and safety slide went with it. Worst feeling in the world at 2am when you’re deep in some gar and carp. Tried to tie the line to the hole in the back of my spare arrow since I didn’t have spare safety slides but the line snapped on the first release. Luckily I found it the next day. Found some 400lb Spectra line for $12.95 and a bag of safety slides/screws, etc for around $10 on Amazon. Got some tru glo arrows at academy to have extra. Hopefully I won’t be losing any more.

No string included
Did get this at a good price from Amazon Warehouse but there was no string included while the product states string is included. The condition was listed as very good but did not mention string was missing. Not returning as I bought string for $10. Just want to encourage the warehouse to do a better job. I probably would not have bought it if I knew the string was missing or maybe I would have as i suspect had they caught it they would have given it an acceptable grade and reduced the price even further. Good quality bow though.

Great for the price
I’ve had it for a year. Best for the price, upgrade your arrow tip to a 3 prong grapple style if you don’t want to keep losing fish! The drum reel isn’t the best but you can upgrade that too

No instructions - but seems well made
The bow comes with no instructions or safety info. Not a huge deal, but since this is geared toward budget and first time bow fishers, a little guidance would have been appreciated. I figured out how to put it together, and I think I got it right, but no way to know for sure. My first test shot snagged on the line and bounced back to hit me in the leg... no blood, but it scared me a little. After the first shot I haven't had any other issues. The bow and arrow themselves seem well made. I'd like to be able to remove the barbs from the arrow for practicing, but I probably just need to buy a practice arrow anyway.

Fun and effective
Bought this for fishing and hunting enthusiasts to goof off with on down time. Worth the money. Actually more enjoyable to use than fancier (more expensive) compound and reel bowfishing setups you'll see, we did a side by side comparison with one. Due to inevitable limitations in bowfishing with range and visibility it works just as well as the fancy setup and feels much more authentic. Florida has clear spring water rivers and brackish flats (weather permitting) teeming with invasive fish that allow ideal shallow bowfishing conditions from Jon boat or sometimes from shore. You obviously might have less luck in places with less ideal water or fishing conditions.
