I really like this scrub — it smells fresh and makes my skin feel very clean and smooth after using it. The texture is nice, not too harsh, but still exfoliates well. It also leaves a refreshing cooling feeling thanks to the tea tree. I’ve noticed my skin looks healthier with regular use. Definitely happy with this purchase and would buy again.

I am super satisfied with this product! Let's get that out there! This for me has been a blessing. Let me warn that my purpose for using this was clearing my acne and it has done wonders! If you are using this for acne be warned that you must go through the purging stage before you start feeling grateful as to the effects of this scrub. I purchased this this on July 2nd and now two months later I can say that the scrub works! When I first started using it I broke out like crazy. It was ugly, I was disheartened, but I knew that time would tell whether this was it for me or not. And seeing as how purging lasts between 1-3 months I committed to enduring the discomfort. Eventually though, my face cleared up. Completely! Now I'm not saying that a zit didnt manage to land on my face after having gone through the purging, but I can say that 1 zit, or even 2, is a gazillion times better than getting way more. I also suffer from bacne and chestne (yes chest acne) and noticed a significant reduction in quantity. (It hasnt completely made everything vanish as it did on my face) I CAN say that thus far its been most effective on my face. The feeling of this product is amazing! If you want that super dewy skin, and you feel that the salt is dry, try parting it and you'll see that the essential oils pool around some points: gather that and the salt and get to work. I greatly feel that the essential oils are magnificent on the skin and when I rinse off the scrub I try to not rub away at my skin so that a concentration of oil lingers on my skin. (It feels so smooth) The smell isnt overpowering and strong but it does have a distinct pleasant smell I cant quite put a name on. Before complaining that its rough on your skin remember that you do have to make sure youre putting both the essential oil and salt on your skin. Another tip that can annihilate this complaint is how delicate you yourself are when rubbing it onto yourself. Treat your skin with care and it wont have any complaints. Other than the acne bits, on other areas of my skin it left my skin so smooth! My arms had a tendency to have a few rough patches and this kicked that right out the window. You want smooth feet? Scrub away at them. I honestly feel there is no body part you can apply this to that will react negatively. Beautiful and effective product. 100% recommend to anyone looking for these same things I experienced.

I got the tea tree oil scrub specifically for my feet. I would recommend that the company add on the label, that you should store it upside down cause the top was really dry and hard to scoop out the first few times. Then towards the end, all the oils are at the bottom and I have to wonder what kind of oils are used because it was really watered down. That or you have to stir it but, it’s too full to try that in the beginning, seems like it could use more oil. Also at times it smelled like it came from a barnyard. Like the initial scent was okay but later it smelled like a dump truck. As far as helping scrub my feet, it was just okay, it helped smooth my feet but it doesn’t last as long as some other scrub I used.

I've purchased this body scrub from First Botany twice now, a few months apart, and the first batch provided significantly more "scrubbing" action than the second. It seemed the salt particles were more coarse the first time around, and thus more effective at exfoliating the calluses and dead skin on my feet. With the second batch, the salt seems finer, and the product practically dissolves on my wet skin before I can work it into the areas I'm targeting. If you don't want too much coarse exfoliation, especially if you're trying to use this product on the rest of your body and not so much on rough feet, then you'd probably like having the finer salt particles. I don't know if the seemingly different formulations were an anomaly or an actual change in the ingredients used, but I preferred the product in the first jar. With both jars I've purchased, I've been very pleased with the minty/tea tree scent, and the refreshing feeling of the oil on my skin. I can't say the scrub has eliminated all signs of toe fungus (does anything?), but over the years, I've found that tea tree oil is the most effective ingredient for keeping athlete's foot and toenail fungus at bay, and this product has enough tea tree oil to make a difference. Like a lot of scrubs, it leaves the shower floor kind of oily afterwards, so you'll need to take care not to slip (common sense). I'll probably try a different brand now that the second jar is almost empty, but I'm not opposed to reordering this product from First Botany in the future. If I do, I'll keep my fingers crossed that the next jar I receive will provide the exfoliation I'm looking for. The tea tree oil factor is spot on.
