Nifty item, but needed support
This is a nice little tool when working with small items. I attached mine to my workbench with the clamp it comes with. I found it not very secure and would move when pressure was applied. I added a 4 inch C clamp and now it's nice and secure to work with. Note: When mounted it sticks out in front of the your workbench and can be in the way for working on other projects.

Well made for the price.
The clamp itself is very robust. The wood appears to be maple. As long as you avoid cutting into it, it should last for a long time. I was surprised at the quality of the clamp. Thick steel, and a heavy duty threaded post.

Works but clamp isn't super tight - get what you pay for
The clamp doesn't not clamp tight enough but does still work ok. For the price it works ok but might break sooner than I would want it too.

It works and looks great
It looks good and comes in very handy, the only thing I think it need something for the piece that holds it on the Bench it has a tendency to move around and fall.

What are you doing with this skilled craftsman tool to begin with? Minr was perfect. If iy weren't id have craftsmanned a 30 second fix.
