I'm 40 and have always had constant low-level acne, especially around my chin. I've seen dermatologists and been recommended prescription creams that worked, but made my skin very sensitive. For a while I had a cleanser that did a decent (but not perfect) job of keeping the acne down, but then it got discontinued. So believe me when I say that discovering zinc supplementation has been life changing! I have been taking one of these 50 mg capsules every other day for about 7 months now and no more zits. Like, at all. I'm sure zinc isn't the solution to everyone's acne problems, but it's worth a try if it's something you're struggling with. You do need to be consistent- apparently zinc gets flushed out of your system pretty quickly. I forgot my supplements when I went on a week long business trip and by the end of it I was getting new zits already. Likewise, if this is going to help you with your acne you'll likely notice a big difference within a week or two. These capsules from NOW Foods are small and easy to swallow, without any unpleasant taste. I haven't noticed any stomach upset or other issues with taking them.
