Excellent kitchen tool and it works well to remove corns, as advertised.

I wish I'd bought one of these years ago. It strips corn kernels off the cob with ease and much faster than using a knife. It also produces fewer part kernels. Comfortable to hold. Simple to use. However, as others have said, the serrated edge is very sharp.

I thought that my old peeler was fantastic that’s I’ve have for years but just broken. This puts it to shame it’s brilliant very very sharp. It peels wafer thin and no pressure needed at all just almost the light weight of the blade peels so easily. I’m temped you buy another for when and if this one every breaks. Really well made and worth every penny.

The OXO Good Grips Corn Prep Peeler makes removing kernels from the cob surprisingly easy and mess-free. Its sharp stainless steel blade slices cleanly, while the ergonomic handle provides a secure and comfortable grip, even when wet. I found it especially helpful for prepping large batches of corn quickly. However, it works best on fresh, firm cobs—softer ones may require a bit more care. A great addition to any kitchen for summer cookouts or meal prep.

My wife said, "Why in the world do you need this?" but she doesn't do the cooking. Makes cutting the kernels off the cob fast and easy. One of my fave recipes requires 8 cob's worth of kernels. Used to take me several aggravating minutes. Cutting in too deeply? Too shallow a cut? This is perfect. Go figure.
