REALLY WORKS
I don't usually write reviews but had to for this one. This product works wonders. At first I was skeptical about whether it would work or not, but I can gladly say it has now diminished almost all my blackheads, pigmentation and acne in just one application. Here's a heads up: I did break out terribly a day after but I guess that was just the purging period and the peel was doing its work of getting rid of all the gunk. I really recommend this to those suffering from acne like me. Hope this helps..

I've had skin issues lately with clogged pores and occasional deep pimples that haven't gotten better with any other treatment (differin, acanya, aczone, etc). The only thing keeping my skin fairly under control was a coal tar wash, but that didn't penetrate deeply enough to really reduce the deep pimples in size for quite a while, although it helped more noticeably with the clogged pores (not completely though). I got fed up and just searched for the best rated acne treatment on Amazon and this was in the Top 3 so I decided to give it a shot based on the reviews I read...Let me tell you, it was worth it! I've only used it once, but I saw immediate improvement. I know this won't work for every skin type, but I'm glad to say that it seems to be working for me. The directions say that a normal treatment is to be 1 to 4 minutes, depending on your skin and tolerance but to do 30 seconds for the first treatment. I did the recommended 30 seconds, then rinsed my face with cold water for a couple of minutes and let my skin rest. I noticed right away that the oil and sebum in my pores was drawn to the surface (little white dots on my pores), or perhaps my dead skin had cleared to reveal it. Either way, I decided to repeat the treatment and did a second round of 30 seconds and that cleared most of the white spots off my pores and my pores looked somewhat smaller (not a huge difference, but noticeable to me). The treatment itself stung quite a bit, and my skin felt tight afterwards, but it was nothing too uncomfortable or unexpected (after all, it is acid on your face). I plan on using this product once a week and will update my review once I have a more substantial number of uses under my belt. But like I said, I saw an improvement after the first use! :-) ***UPDATE*** Now that I've used the product multiple times over the last few weeks, I wanted to update my review. I've noticed a marked improvement in my skin since I started using the peel. I started off doing two 30 second peels during my initial couple of uses After that I used it for about 90 seconds and have not gone above that time. After each use I had some minor peeling, nothing that you can really consider "downtime" or major. I mostly experienced the peeling around the edges of my nose/cheek and between my bottom lip and chin. It would appear one to two days following the peel and after washing my face in the shower twice, all peeling skin was always gone, so really nothing to really worry about. I kept my skin regiment mostly the same and continued regularly washing my face with the tar wash I mentioned previously, but I added the acid peel as a once weekly addition and I started using a new moisturizer, if you can call it that. My sister-in-law recommended rose hip oil as she had heard great things about it and I've been massaging two to three drops onto my face each night before bed. While I still have one major acne spot that is visible, it is healing and has improved drastically and the second spot is almost fully gone, there just a slight pink hue on my skin that is easily covered with a bit of light foundation. I've had one small pimple develop since using the acid peel, but nothing drastic or serious. Overall, my skin looks healthier, it has a nice glow to it, and it seems smoother and my pores are smaller in appearance. All in all, this product has worked for me! :) Can't wait to see what will happen once this last major stubborn acne spot is gone.

I purchased this product October of 2014 and still have about 1/4 left. I rarely had problems with pimples as a teen (random small pimples, whiteheads, and maybe blackheads), but during my late 20s (turned 30 last year) I started getting hormonal cystic pimples! I would get them during menstruation a couple of times a year. My skin started becoming more dry and sensitive (I think partly due to birth control pills) and I started getting bumps on my cheeks. I thought it might be Rosacea because I always had soft, delicate skin, but I don't that was the case. I tried some products for Rosacea, but it would only dry out my cheeks. Not sure if it was due to hormones or age, but my skin was a bit stressed out. I mean I could hide it with a bit of make-up (was never a heavy make-up person), but I wanted to fix my skin. I've tried a lot of different products for the acne, but it really didn't help much. This peel really has helped settle my skin. I think the combination of my hormones getting back to normal, this peel, and me trying out more organic oils (I use almond oil for my skin) has helped my skin immensely. My skin has settled down now and I'm back to my normal self. I tend to get whiteheads on my chin and this product really helps my whiteheads slowly disappear. At first, I used the product every week and it helped my skin a lot. I could tell the difference pretty quickly. Now I use it mostly for spot treatment and once a month I'd do my whole face. It stings, but you can see your pores shrink to nothing! I have small pores to begin with, but with the peel they seem nonexistent. Be careful, not to pick at the scabs or it'll turn into a brown spot. But, it does go away after a while. It's a great peel. Pimples go away pretty fast. If I get a pimple I just do a spot treatment and it'll be gone within the next few days, depending on the size. Also, be careful not to leave it on too long if you have sensitive skin. It is very potent, so test out your skin. You can leave it longer as your skin gets used to it, but it can be red for the next 10 min. I usually do a full face peel at night. That way I can put on my oils/serum afterwards and it'll be nice and soft in the morning. OH! Before I forget, I felt my face was purging all the nasty stuff during the first month or so (give or take). I had breakouts, but once it settled down it was smooth sailing from there. And, please, MOISTURIZE! It can be drying. It is a peel after all. I use almond oil and have recently been using a Vitamin C serum. It's helps the process. If your skin is dry it'll try to create more oil/sebum, so it is best to moisturize your skin. Natural/Organic oils have worked best for me thus far.

This stuff will burn the sh!t out of your face. Be careful. Make sure you read and follow the directions. If you are a Differin user your skin will be even more sensitive to it and easily burn. Follow the directions regarding how long to leave it on or how often you can do it. More is not better. More is more irritating. They are not kidding when they say that this stuff is professional grade, it is serious stuff. And because of that, it works. I can't afford to have a dermatologist or an esthetitian do this for me, and I don't like people looking closely at my skin anyway, it makes me uncomfortable. But this product can give a professional level result at home for a very small fraction of the price you'd pay to walk into a spa or doctor's office. It does hurt. It is not fun to do. You do get used to it, that's why you follow the directions and build up to longer times. It will make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so you MUST wear sunscreen all the time once you start doing this, or you can get dark spots (melasma). Although it does hurt, that's what acid does. It burns. But this product is not harsh on my skin in ways it's not supposed to be. It doesn't leave my skin stripped-feeling, and within just a few minutes of taking it off, my face feels fine and I'm glad I did it. I have some redness afterwards, I don't do it five minutes before I need to put on makeup. I do it before bed or in the middle of a Saturday when I'm not leaving the house. I'm seeing fewer blemishes and my skin looks plumper and more youthful when I do this every few weeks. My dark spots are drastically reduced. This product works, so put on your big girl panties and suck it up.

I ordered this product after reading all the reviews. I also didn't want to make yet another appt with my derm doc ($40 co-pay) and pay another $80 for a peel. I am a dark-skinned black woman with adult hormonal acne. It leaves dark marks and it's starting to annoy me. I have also been using retin-A 0.1% for a couple years now and just doesn't seem as effective as it used to. FYI, I have used every acne med known to man EXCEPT accutane (I refuse) and none of them work well enough for me. So, got it and followed instructions as printed (minus the exfoliating face wash they recommended). Well, I made sure I hadn't used the retin-A for several days before but apparently wasn't long enough. I start my timer as soon as my swab touches my face. My first time I could only stand the burning for 90 seconds before I had to rinse it off. It burned especially around my mouth, chin, jaw area. I definitely saw the "frosting" they mentioned and rinsed immediately. The results however were very good! My skin was definitely smoother, cleaner. I got some actual peeling in those area that I mentioned about 2 days later but nothing major. So I decided to do it again a week and a half later. This time was a bit more bearable and left it on for 3-4 minutes. Again, smoother and cleaner skin but no peeling. Maybe a bit tighter too. So did the 3rd peel a week later and left it on for 6 minutes and it was completely bearable. Definite tingling but not burning. It feels like an intense itch you REALLY wanna scratch. Same results. Nothing major. Have it 4 stars because I thought it might be a bit more peeling than exfoliating. Did I notice a difference? Yes! Do I still have acne? Yes, but only 1-2 larger pimples. All the smallers ones have dried up and gone away. Are my scars lighter? Maybe... not quite sure about that. My face absolutely looks much better and smoother. I will be ordering the exfoliating wash to see if it enhances the results. If not, I was looking into the peel pads or possibly the glycolic peel instead. Haven't decided yet. Will keep you posted...
