If you were to take the cutter arm off, would it make a good improvised anti-zombie weapon?

Depends on how much you'd used the cutter prior to the uprising. It's not quite strong enough to cut bone but you might have a fair shot going for the eyes or throat.

Could I use this to cut card stock (say three sheets of the thickness of index cards)?

Not more then one sheet of card stock. I woke at a restaurant and it’s not capable of cutting more then one piece of 65lb cardstock for our menus without causing fraying of the edge. Not very professional.

Would this work well for cutting cardboard, like cardboard used for shipping packages? Thanks

In response to your question, I took a heavy cardboard box that had been used to ship produce and tried to cut it. I cut the cardboard into several pieces and it cut smoothly but with a slight resistance (a little more force than with plain paper). Accordingly, within the dimensions of the cutting board and guard, you should have no problems.

Not Great

For a Swingline product, I expected better quality. The product is fairly light which makes it easy to move around, but at the same time, it feels cheap and flimsy. More importantly, the blade will often simply bend the paper instead of cutting it. This happens mainly when trying to cut single pages. You almost need to do a stack for the blade to work properly.
