Dickens is a great writer and teller or stories. This is long and dense but full of wonderful characters and a fine story line. There's a reason it's a classic.

I've always loved Charles Dickens novels as they portray an air of elegance within Victorian England. This one is an absolute classic and should be compulsory reading for anyone above the age of 16, as it shows how in the face of obscurity, one young man can become a gentleman. A beautifully written story with oodles of humour and sincerity all rolled into one captivating tale.
