Perfect gift for my teenaged son! He figured it out pretty quickly and was so excited to learn a valuable new skill!

Good instruction book but a video would be better.

I got this book to get familiar with all of the basic concepts. It is a pretty quick read. I now feel like I have enough knowledge to progress to more advanced books and not feel lost.

It was good for someone who probably had a decent idea what they were already doing. Author clearly didn't have an educational background (explain this to me like I'm an idiot) but it was easy enough to read through. I don't see how it is possible to write such a book without extensive use of diagrams, and this book had very few, of any, useful diagrams. They could learn from IKEA. This will not turn you into a natural cat burglar, I think I will just have to buy a lock picking set and practice. (not that I'm advocating burglary)

This us a good book for the beginner in learning how to pick locks. A great buy for the money! ;)

I got this book for my grandson for Christmas. He has gone through it and can now reliably open a Master padlock. He is 11 years old and the book worked for him.

This topic has always interested me. The problem solving and somewhat dynamic nature with each lock being different has always interested me. The author does a good job in my opinion of covering the types of locks and methods. Additionally common pitfalls and how to avoid them is also addressed.

Good book

I got this book during lockdown and the boredom was kicking in and got this to amuse myself but thought after reading it, it would be useful to learn just incase my kids get bad ideas and lock me out. So more safety then anything else.

I think this is a reproduction of the original copy. 2nd copy as they would say. Normal people would put page numbers on the pages. Why have an table of contents with page numbers when there is no page numbers?

Interesting read. I don't know if you will become a professional locksmith by reading this book. But still Interesting to learn the mechanics of locks and how they function.
