Hands-down the best small pocket flashlight out there.
This is my go-to pocket flashlight now. Specifically, what I'm looking for in a flashlight is output, ease of use, price and a small profile. Output: It's not blindingly bright, which is a good thing. A lot of flashlights will ramble about lumens and candlepower, like those are the only metrics that matter. I've had flashlights that have a "high" setting, and I mostly found them to be blinding. The primary purpose of tiny lights like these is to inspect small items or enclosed spaces. You really don't need hundreds of lumen to do that. One other thing that I feel compelled to mention about this particular light is it's 'spot' output. It is mentioned in the description, but seeing it in person is impressive. I've never seen another light that puts out such a sharp, consistent beam. It is a perfect, evenly-illuminated circle. You don't have to shift the light around to get the "hotspot" in the right place, because the entire output beam is the same level of brightness. It's really attractive and is honestly one of the reasons I love these little lights. Ease of use: This might sound like a strange thing to comment on with a flashlight, but the thumb button is the superior method, in my opinion, since it allows for easy, one-handed use. The twist-to-activate method is nice, but the thumb button is so much superior. My only complaint in this category is that the light does not allow you to "hold on;" it will only toggle. This makes flashing a signal sort of difficult, but it is a minor thing. One other thing is that it is billed as "water resistant." This does not mean that it will survive a dunk in water, as I found out to my dismay. I dropped my most recent one in the tank at work -- merely DI water, and only a few inches deep and only for as long as it took me to swear and pull it out -- but the water got inside and corroded the internals to the point it would not work any more. Price: I've owned fairly expensive small penlights like this. And then lost them. I suppose I am still a 5 year old in some respects. And, as mentioned above, they get damaged. And I feel no guilt about having to replace a small, 10 dollar flashlight. The 50 dollar titanium one, however... -sigh- I'll probably get a few and keep them in my desk for when I inevitably lose them. Small profile: The light is tiny. It fits easily in hand, and disappears into your pocket. I keep mine in my back left pocket, and I forget that it is there sometimes. Other lights, like those cheap, $3 ones, get the job done, but they are enormous and uncomfortable to carry. The G19 is only slightly larger than the battery it carries. So, I'm going to buy an armful of these little guys and keep them around, because they are simply the best. I think if you get one, you'll think so too.

A new Lifetime Customer
This is a very good flashlight for smaller tasks or smaller spaces. This light is NOT designed to light up an entire room, but to light a small area for inspection purposes. The LED light is very bright for its size, at 54 Lumens. It runs off a single AAA battery, which is very convenient. The beam of light emitted is a very crisp, solid, evenly lit circle of light. This flashlight is very small and compact, easily carried around in your pocket everyday without even realizing its there. I carry this light with me eveywhere, especially at work. It works great for looking into a gas tank to see how much fuel is left or checking oil levels and other such jobs. It works very well for inspecting wiring as well. I cant say enough about how durable this light is. I have carried this light with me everywhere for nearly 3 years now and have used it heavily and it still works like it did brand new. The clip broke off, but I never used the clip anyways so no big deal. I also discovered that you can remove the whole clip itself if you would prefer not to use it. I have attached a photo of my G19 to show how much it gets used, and still functions amazingly. A lot of the surface is now silver as the finish has worn off from heavy usage. I will no doubt be buying another one of these lights if anything ever happens with the one I currently have. Coast makes some of the best lights I have ever used. I will be a lifetime customer of Coast!

Great light for the price.
Purchased G22 and the Coast G19 at the same time because I wasn't sure what the real difference was. They were both under $10. The G22 is brighter, but has a bright center that fades off to the edges. The G22 puts out more light than the G19, but the G19 puts out a perfect circle of uniform light, which could be important for some users. This is a nice light. I'd rather it used AA instead of AAA, because AAA are terrible batteries that are expensive and never last.

Close to perfect pocket flashlight for ~$10.
Is this the best pocket/pen flashlight on the market? No. Is it probably the best flashlight of it's size for ~$10? Definitely yes. I bought this flashlight to keep in my pocket for small tasks such as looking around in a computer or in/under a car hood. It is small, has a good grip, a good press button and a bright inspection light profile. The light emitted will give almost no flood light and has almost all of the light in a nice spotlight style circle. So while this flashlight will be good for precision spotting, it is only decent at normal navigational lighting such as going down the stairs in a power outage or through the woods. For the price, I can't say I really expected anything more from this flashlight. The machining of the flashlight casing is good, with very few and small blemishes in the diamond grip pattern, which is reasonable considering the price. The reasons I gave it only 4 out of 5 stars: Pocket clip kinda sucks. 1) The pocket clip is coated with an almost rubberized and cheap feeling black coating. I would have personally preferred to have it anodized/coated with the same black color and feeling as the rest of the flashlight. 2) On my particular flashlight (could only be me), the end of the pocket clip is a bit too pointy or sharp. Not quite enough to say it causes an uncomfortable grip, but enough that my shirt would sometimes snag on the point ends of the pocket clip. I'm sure that I can smooth it out myself, but I would have liked it more rounded. So if you want a small pocket flashlight that has around 50 lumens, takes a single AAA battery, pocket clip, easy on/off function, and a spotlight precision profile for at $10, then please do buy.

No te vas a arrepentir.

Use this light daily as a Firefighter/Paramedic and most evenings and weekends as a First AID instructor. Compact, small and easy to grip and store for its size... Easy to clean and sanitize, has withstood multiple drops from 4-6 feet high onto concrete etc... Battery never seems to die, light is PERFECT in intensity for Pupil checks or looking in the bottom of a bag or box day or night ! I bought 3 of them thinking they wouldn't last but man was I wrong... ! Great Little Light !
