I have been using costus for 2 years, but its taste was different and color was pale. But now i found this hemani costus taste is more bitter and color is also darker. So how to know its purity and is it orignal or not

This should not be consumed at all. It can cause kidney damage and cause cancer. It contains Aristolochic and Aristolochic acid damages the kidneys and causes cancer.

I cannot really say yet. I am not sure if it is supposed to smell strong and bad. I don’t like the smell of it.
