Treasure Island

Edición bonita, tacto rugoso. Es más pequeño el formato de lo que esperaba (no es desventaja, es simplemente una impresión). El papel no es de lo mejor, pero para este precio me parece una edición bastante barata (9,90€). Tenía ganas de tener este libro en papel y no defrauda.

Besonders beeindruckend ist der edle Stoffeinband, der dem Buch eine luxuriöse Haptik verleiht. Er fühlt sich angenehm an, ist robust und verleiht dem Buch eine zeitlose Eleganz. Auch die Druckqualität und die Papierwahl sind hervorragend – die Seiten haben eine angenehme Dicke und lassen sich gut umblättern. Insgesamt ein echtes Schmuckstück im Bücherregal und eine wunderbare Geschenkidee für Buchliebhaber. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

I've always liked hardcovers over paperbacks because eh... why not? But hadn't really gotten around to ordering one of these Penguin clothbound hardcovers yet. I wanted to get through one of my fav books I read years back in school - Treasure Island. So I figured, well, this is the time to try one of them. And boy, does it feel so good. The texture of the cloth brings a completely different feel to the whole reading process and feels incredibly good. The pages are very high quality as well, and so far I have no complaints with anything. I got it for about 500 bucks which is a fair price - but I noticed the other clothbound books go as high as 2100 and the like - which I think is too much for something that's manafactured. But from this piece, great stuff.
