This was a Santa Christmas gift for my 5 year old son and he is delighted with it. It is simple to set up on a small table yet the motor is strong enough to continue turning when throwing a small pot. So far he's made 2 pots and 2 egg cups and a lots of fun squishy mess.

I Have had a lot of pottery wheels growing up, and this kit by far was the best I have ever seen. My daughter kept asking for a pottery wheel for her 4th birthday so I started reading reviews and found this to have the best rating. I am pleased I read through because this is great. We had so much fun molding clay and using the wheel to make little vases and pots! It has two different types of paints so they can choose which style they want it to be. More pottery looking or a higher gloss. It came with lots of tools that my daughter live experimenting with. The wheel is sturdy and not cheap and flimsy like ones I had as a kid. It worked well and actually it took some Getting use too because it wasn't intermittent like cheap ones I have had before. It moved at a steady fast pace. It almost felt like a miniature version of a real wheel!! I think the price is very fair for the quality. We will enjoy doing this together for years to come!! My daughter absolutely loved doing it and it was a great activity for us to do together!!

Not bad. Very good for a child or a learner with a lot of patience. Reasonably priced for what you get. The small size makes it nicely portable though it cannot go anywhere you’d like to be quiet. I use it with headphones on. I’ve never used a potting wheel before. This seems adequate. It is very loud. The speed controls are only on/off which can make detail work harder. The instruction booklet contains no useful instructions for use beyond how to turn it on. The wheel does not seem durable long-term but it’s quality matched the low price. With patience and a lot of trial and error to get they clay wet enough (but not too wet) I was able to make a few small pieces.
