What is the max temp these are rated for?

That’s an odd question. It’s welding wire. So there are a lot of factors? Are you tug welding?

I am welding 304 stainless pipe and it will be in high heat up to 1400F and high corrosion environment. Would the 309l be preferred over the 308l ?

Sorry. Just got the question. Are you welding stainless to stainless? Then use 308. If it’s stainless to carbon use 309. Are you tig welding? That is pretty high temps but if it has steam in it it’ll be fine. It should be good for mist corrosion but like for emissions I’ve seen them eaten up in a short time. I guess the vague questions you ask there are so many variables as I work in power industry and paper mills there is different uses for different things.
