Clever replacement
Excellent repair. I had glass upstanding with metal box behind and lug had been shredded. Removed lug with junior hacksaw and filed smooth. Replacement lug fitted snugly over box side and existing screw held faceplate firm. All in all a clever fitting!

Quick and effective
Didn't have high hopes for this but it worked flawlessly. Just scrape away 1mm of plaster from the outside of the box with a Stanley knife and push this on. Got a secure fixing straight away. Took two minutes. More firm than the initial thing I did of extending the screw and going into the back of the box.

Quick and simple repair
We had several new sockets fitted and found that one of the back boxes was broken. This was a simple quick and easy repair and the socket is now back on on the wall and is secure. Great to have in a tool box just in case.

Excellent kit but needs a bit of persuading.
These are very good but, for me, fitting was a bit less than straightforward. I needed to clear plaster from the outside of the socket box - I used a kitchen knife. Then I had to bend the old fitting lugs flat with the box - I used a hammer and an old screwdriver to do this. I used the hammer and screwdriver to install the clips - they are a tight fit and can't be pushed on by hand. Finally, I had to widen the box to get the screws to line up - more hammering. But after all that the fit is good and the socket screws are done up tight.

These clips work!
The back box I wanted to repair was quite deep in the wall, I found it almost impossible to get the clip on the side of the box. After quite some time I succeeded. The spring that holds the clip in place is very strong, so it's not going to fall off. If the box was at the surface, it would have been a lot easier. You need a gap at the side of the box to be able to clip it on and any protruding bits of metal on the side of the box need to be removed. Quite any expensive item, but unique and far quicker than having to replace the back box. I would recommend these.
