If you want your own tone, look here
I took a chance on this speaker because it's a well known brand and a reasonable price. I have had many different Celestions over the years and this sounds like none of them. I have it in a slightly oversized, ported cabinet of my own design. At first I tried it with my Joyo Bantamp mini heads, but they really don't have the power that this speaker needs and it was dark and lifeless. When I plugged it into a 120w combo it was a completely different story with great tone. I currently use it with an Orange dual terror that pushes it just fine even at the 7w setting and it screams with full power. This is a good replacement speaker for a higher power combo that could use some more low end. It would add richness to an inexpensive digital modeler in the 30+ watt range too.

Big upgrade and voiced exactly as described
I ordered this speaker because the description of the speaker, like a v30 but warmer with more low end, sounded like something I would enjoy. And it is exactly as described, and exactly what I was hoping for. I had been using a Sound Town cabinet, with the stock Sound Town speaker that really didn't bother until recently when I couldn't get *any* amp to sound good through it. I figured my next move was to replace the speaker and I'm glad that I did. My primary amps are an Orange Super Crush, and a Laney Ironheart Loudpedal (version 1). And both of these amps pair excellently with the Midnight 60 speaker. Instead of searching for the exact EQ settings that sound decent, everything sounds good, and good EQ settings sound incredible. So far I love this speaker, people who love v30's might not appreciate this speaker, but I think it would sound incredible in a 2x12 cabinet paired with a v30. I think it would be the best of both worlds.

Warms up nicely after a good break in
Really good speaker I put it in a fender mustang 50 watt modeling amplifier. Chunky mid-range clean shimmery top end. I was questioning my decision at first when comparing it to the stock speaker. It really warms up after breaking it in for a few hours 10 to be exact. I plugged in the auxiliary and let it play at low volume while I was doing other stuff during the day. It really is a night and day difference after breaking it in. I have no complaints.

Nice Sound for under $100
Solid speaker, good range, great tone. This 16 ohm Midnight 60 speaker is mounted by itself in a 20x17x8 repurposed amplifier case that has been completely enclosed, and connected to an AS Telecaster through a small Marshall DSL1. It accurately reproduces any clean/driven Marshall tone, and does a nice job sounding like a Fender Twin with an emulator in the effects loop. It was very well packaged and arrived on time. It was easy to install as a rear mounted speaker. The Celestion Midnight 60 speaker is a really good value for what it cost.
