Loved the burnt wood look. Size was just big enough to put the amount of flowers I had dried. Great box for value of money and was just the right depth. It is made well and stays closed. You can hang it or leave it sit on table.

This is a beautiful made shadow box. Looks to be real wood (which I love ) Will later varnish it as is. Cause I was always taught never paint real wood it is not only ugly to do so but it is graceful not only to the woodcrafter's hard work but to the wood itself and the trees that supplied it. Only stain and varnish to bring out the wood grain or varnish the natural wood. This is such nice shadow box, I am very happy with this. I thought I bought the bigger 8X11 but I guess when I clicked the button it didn't switch them. But I was still happy to receive this beautiful Shadow box frame. I had bought it for a picture or more and items of my beloved 17 year of orange tabby that had passed away in May. I am ordering the larger box so there is room to place his stuff kitten he use to carry around and bring to me when he was but a kitten himself. I would recommend this for people who have special items or pictures that they would like to keep in one place as a memento. An in my case it is for someone special who is no longer with us. This one that I receive is a 8X8. with a front glass frame door that open from the right toward the hinges on the left. It is held shut by a magnet. It has hangers on the back and comes with wall mounting hardware inside and a beautiful "Thanks" card from the seller. You can either mount it on the wall or just sat it on a table or wide shelf. There is what I a think is a slight cedar like smell when you open the box. Just a hint not over powering. But I don't think the wood is cedar wood, but I could be wrong, and it just maybe the oil used to preserve the wood. Beautiful wood grain pattern. I would recommend this beautifully made Shadow Box picture frame. As I said before I will be buy a larger one soon. So in a way I am buying this again. Just a larger one. I am happy to display this in my home and happy that for now it and later the larger one will hold memory of someone that was so dear to me. Thank You.

Bought this for a cute plate I got in Italy, it worked perfectly. I floated the plate (with cardboard and glue) from the back of the frame and it looks amazing. The frame is sturdy and decent quality for the price. Really good solution to display my little trinket.

What a great little shadow box. As you can see by the photo, I used this to make an initial out of buttons (for a friend's bday). The box is actually wood; the background is tan linen textured fabric. I used hot glue for my project, so I can't speak to how well the pins worked. I did remove the door while I assembled my project. Easy off and easy back on. I wrote a note on the back to my friend with a white paint pen, no issues. Very happy with my purchase.

This product was better than I anticipated and worked very well to display items I wanted to include.

i was able to fit so much and it included everything i needed such as tacks and pins. super easy to set up. it was built great and the magnet has great strength. my wholefamily loves it! very cheap for how much comfort its brought. you can hang it up as well! no scratches!
