A tool that I use a lot of the time
I have this and a couple of similar items from well known companies. All of them are useful and good but I always reach for this one. The edge with string height marked in 64ths of an inch is something I use for quite a few guitars. It also functions as a fret rocker and has a scale for setting pickup height. It has inches/fractions on one side an metic units on the other. It also has a table listing 1/64th through 9/64ths of an inch with equivalent decimal values for inches and mm in separate columns. The metal is sturdy enough and the lettering is etched and painted.

good tool
If you are a serious guitarist, you need one of these. The black color makes it easy to read. I use to set action. It doubles as a fret rocker. Essential gear.

Top Quality!
Top quality tool. Very well made and I couldn't have set up my guitars without it. Highly recommend.

Easiest to read - very well made
This is the most useful string height gauge I have found. As usual, Music Nomad gives you information about the string heights for different functions right on the gauge. The light writing on dark background is the easiest I’ve found to read of any gauge. The gauge is solid and just the right weight. In case anyone needs to know, the gauge is 1/64” - 0.0155” - 0.4 mm thick. It is probably made from 28 gauge sheet metal. I have found Music Nomad products to all be entirely appropriate for their function, durable, and easy to use. They also have really well-produced videos with accurate information on how to use their tools and measure or make adjustments to specific guitar types and brands.

Must have tool for setting guitar string action
This Rule is a little pricey so minus one star but it is very accurate and essential for setting up string height etc. The White markings over Black provides an excellent contrast and makes it much easier to see vs Silver with Black marks. If you do your own set ups on Guitars or work on them, this is a must have to save time and head aches from less accurate cheaper Rules

Rule your guitar setup
Another win for MusicNomad. This little metal card has measurements for everything: string height, pickup height, nut height. It’s the Swiss Army Knife of rulers. It’s small enough to fit in my wallet, but I keep it in my guitar case because paying for groceries with a ruler is frowned upon. If you want low action without the buzz, get this.

The edges are perfectly straight and it does what a fret rocker is supposed to do. The best thing however, about this tool is the easily read setup guide imprinted on it. Such a simple idea but absolutely brilliant. Love it. Use it once and you will never reach for your 64ths ruler again. The metal is a little on the thin side but thick enough so that there should never be an issue unless you do something stupid. Compared to the cheaper ones available, to me this is well worth the extra money. It is thinner than a StewMac fret rocker, which I'm sure is a quality tool. Having said that, the StewMac has no markings and is nearly double the price. The Music Nomad works for me.
