These will fit perfectly on any boat with a little bit of area to clamp on. I had to install a L bracket for the bow and the stern because these would not stay put even after fully tightening down because the surface wasn’t flat. The product itself is as described, still working after almost a year, just don’t leave the batteries in them for extended periods, this was my 2nd set in 3 years because these 1st ones the batteries busted and corroded the metal components inside!

Everything about this product is PERFECT except for one glaring problem. The white stern light flickers when boat vibrates. I tried everything everything under the sun too fix this problem and I think I found the solution. You have to remove the rubber gasket seal where you screw the battery cap. Then you have to screw it VERY tight. I think the problem with flickering is due to poor or loose contact. Tightening strongly with the rubber gasket still in on doesn’t work. You have to remove it. Unfortunately this also removes the water seal so it’s no longer water proof. Other than that, the LED lights are very bright considering they run on AAA. They’re also very solid. The clamp is metal. This is an upgrade from their previous models which had plastic clamps that broke. I use mine on a 14’ aluminum Loweline and it suits my needs.

I have owned probably 20 sets of boat lights over the years for our jon boat. The boat is in the water uncovered from March until October so we needed something durable and long lasting. Our boathouse looks like a boat light graveyard. I chose these because they are LED and the bulbs in the older versions always stopped working at the same rate the batteries needed to be replaced. These assemble easily enough and you can mount the light to the clamp in the way that works best for your boat. I am happy to report that they are in fact waterproof given the fact that I dropped one in four feet of water before I even got it installed. Still works! It seems like the mounting clamp got an upgrade because these have extra rubberized padding which cuts down on rattling and loosening over time. Anything that attaches to a motorized boat with this type of mount will need to be tightened up from time to time but that’s just routine maintenance. I like the quick release that allows you to take the head of the light off the mount without unscrewing the entire thing from the boat. Makes it easy to change the batteries (which I didn’t have to do at all this year as LED uses way less battery power) or if you want to take the light with you off the boat. Hopefully this set will last longer than the others but they are already higher quality and easier to use that any other set I’ve purchased (including other Attwood sets)

The stern light takes several clicks of the button to turn on. The bow light failed after the first use. It appears that the seal allowed moisture inside leading to catastrophic battery failure. The unit was only used once and was 20 days old when it failed to operate. Otherwise, this design is perfect for my simple 18 foot skiff. I am fairly certain that if I am late getting back to the ramp beyond sunset, the USCG will let me slide with an "A" for effort. The bow light clamps securely to the deck. I clamp the stern light to the outboard tiller bracket. The height is just right with 3 sections. Amazon's return policy is amazing. I will return the defective light at Kohls today and a replacement will arrive tomorrow. As far as Attwoods quality, I am hoping that this one was a lemon that slipped past QC. I will update this review after I receive and use the replacement. 8/16/20 The replacement arrived the next day as promised. After several months of use, the lights continue to work well. They do collect a little moisture in the "waterproof" battery compartment after a week of use. This is most likely do to expansion and contraction of air inside the compartment pulling in the humid Florida atmosphere. I am updating my rating from one star to three. I should not have to shake the moisture out weekly on a watertight marine light.

These lights are awesome. I haven’t had any issues I’ve had them for almost a year now. 1 fell in the water, but it still works and very easy to use. Would only recommend for kayaks or small boats.

I bought these lights in October of 2023 for the rare occassion when I'd be on the water after sunset in my small skiff or kayak. When I received them, I tested the mounting locations, installed fresh batteries to ensure they worked and determined they did. I then removed them, pulled the batteries, put the caps back on, then placed both lights in a dry, sealed-lid storage tub on a shelf in my garage. And that's where they remained for almost 2 years. Two days ago we planned to be on the water after sunset, so I pulled the tub from the shelf, removed the bow and stern lights and placed fresh batteries in each. I hit the switch on the stern light and there was a dim (hard to see in daylight) oscillating flicker of white light. That was bad, but not as bad as the bow light which didn't turn on at all. I made numerous attempts to get both to work (mixing batteries, swapping the battery carriers, switching the caps all to no avail. The bow light is completely dead, the stern light brightened a few lumens, but not enough to serve its intended and legal purpose. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed in these lights and wonder how quickly they would've failed if they'd actually been used and exposed to the elements. As a result, I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase these.
