Soft on the scalp and works great for fine, straight hair. Gives mine volume and texture after brushing. It’s able to actually style my hair because the bristles are dense and so it doesn’t just pass through my straight hair like a comb would. Easy to grip and feels solid in my hand. Bristles are quality and don’t fall out of the handle like cheaper boar brushes. Would recommend storing in a dedicated firm case during travel so the bristles don’t get smashed during travel.

It is an expensive brush but it is exactly like the one I got 30 years ago and was going still going strong until the dog got ahold of it. I think the only way these people stay in business is when you buy a different type of Kent brush because their product lasts a very long time and does everything you want it to do. Great military style brush. It feels great in your hand on on your head.

I was rocking a buzz cut for the last 10 years during my military service. Like many before me, I am now on a quest to grow out the hair on my head and face. I never needed to brush my hair. The only time a brush touched my head was at the barbershop. Now that my hair is a little longer I can style it. Sure, I could get away without brushing it, however, simply running the brush through my hair (just a few strokes) completely transforms the look and feel of my hair. It feels nice. It adds a bit of volume to my thinning hair (greatly appreciated). It distributes the oil (sebum?) from root to tip - this is where I feel the ROI is earned. It is amazing how much healthier my hair looks. My wife even commented on my hair after first use. Believe me, she wasn't happy that I spend $$ on a BRUSH so I believe her comment was genuine. If you care as much about thinning hair as I do, also pick up yourself a high quality shampoo/conditioner without harsh/harmful chemicals. I've knocked this thing 1 star because: Well, I have to be supremely impressed to leave a 5-star review. This is definitely a nice brush and I do not regret the purchase. I would purchase again and even recommend to a friend. If the wooden handle was contoured to fit the hand, then I would have been supremely impressed...

Bought as a gift for my brother. He loves it!! Impressed with the quality and craftsmanship, as well as the high-end manufacturer. Worth the expenditure. NOT made in China!!

Very well made, but bristles way too soft for my liking, returned for a stiffer brush.

I have always liked a good hairbrush because I have soft slightly wavy hair and it needs a bit of encouragement to lie down and behave. The Kent natural bristle brushes are a very good solution for this as they do not scape my scalp or drive furrows into the hair. They give a nice smooth lay down and also mitigate the shiny effect of the hair gel I use. I am on my third brush over thirty or more years. So they last a long time. One other thing, they are handsome additions to my little row of toiletries at the sink.
