Priced like a generic alternative but performs like expensive brands
This was my first personal experience with any Amazon Basics branded product and I have been beyond satisfied, I've been legitimately surprised at how well this flea treatment has worked. Nearly every review of an Amazon Basics product I've seen or read has been overwhelminly positive so I had high hopes before it even arrived. There is essentially zero difference in the efficacy & duration of action between the expensive comparable name brands and this. The box says to compare it to the Advantage II equivalent, which I have experience with. While the ingredients and all seem identical and likely are identical, it genuinely seemed to me that not only did this brand work just as well and as fast as Advantage II, it seemed to last slightly longer (I doubt there was a noteable difference if there was a difference at all). Bottom line is that you are essentially getting the most respected, best performing, highest quality topical flea treatment for cats on the market for half the price. If you liked Advantage II & it worked well for you, I couldn't recommend the Amazon Basics equivalent more. It's like you're paying double the price to get the same actual product in an expensive brand's packaging. Most topical flea treatments that I've used in the past have been fairly easy to apply and this product was no different. In fact, because of how the application nozzle was shaped, this product was slightly easier to apply than most. The nozzle is designed in a way that makes it effortless to easily & quickly move thru the fur without snagging, allowing you to quickly apply it directly to the skin. Application is so quick and easy that it takes literal seconds and can be completed before your cat has a chance to realize something is going on. It doesn't take much time at all before it is very clearly working. In under an hour, fleas will quickly begin dropping dead. This product doesn't gradually eliminate fleas, it eradicates them with a vengeance and aggression. Once it begins working, a layer of dead fleas will be left behind any place your cat stays for more than a short moment. The efficacy is legitimately impressive. Surprisingly, for a product that works so strongly in such a short amount of time, I have noticed my cats experiencing exactly zero instances of negative issues such as irritated skin (even exactly where it was applied). The easy application process and the effective yet gentle medications used make for a product that does exactly what it claims to do without seeming to cause any physically or mental discomfort for cats. I have 4 cats all with varying fur types, lengths, thickness, etc. This product seems to work equally well and for just as long on all 4 so it appears that if applied correctly, the fur type doesn't have much, if any, impact on product performance.

Amazon Basics Flea and Tick Topical Treatment
This flea treatment works well and is a good budget-friendly alternative to more expensive brands. It was easy to apply and helped reduce fleas quickly. I like that it provides ongoing protection and keeps pets comfortable. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re looking for an affordable and effective flea prevention treatment.

Works for monthly maintenance not an infestation…
When I initially bought this product, I was dealing with an infestation. It was not strong enough to kill the amount of fleas - I have five cats. I had to use a stronger/name brand product instead. This was while I was also treating my house. BUT this product works great for monthly maintenance or getting rid of minimal amount of fleas. If you have an infestation, I recommend using something stronger. If you are using for monthly maintenance, I think it will work great. Two of my cats did have a skin reaction the first time I used the flea treatment on them, but they no longer have any skin reaction after the second application. Maybe we received a bad batch the first time? Another reason I like this product is the fact that I can use the ends of the packaging to separate the fur for easy skin access.

It does work with proper treatment of home and furniture and other pets
Fleas are so bad again this year. Bought this in desperation along with some capstar and home flea spray. Also bought a treatment for my dog. It took about a week to get the cats flea free. First I gave them the capstar, then I fought the good fight with bathing them. After drying I put this on them and in a crate on the balcony and treated the house. We took the cats and treated dog on a nice drive to the park and waited a couple of hours. Back to the apt, aired it out and let the animals back in the house. We have been vacuuming and keeping an eye on them. It’s been about a week and I didn’t find any fleas on them with the flea comb today. I’ve been combing them daily. It takes work but it will help with the fleas. Esp if you have a dog that must be taken out.

NOT RECOMMENDED
PROBLEM: it pours like water, and runs down the cat's back or neck or sides and then the cat, tickled by the viscosity, licks it and ingests it. I slowly and carefully placed the drops directly on the skin, along a line, after I saw the product rush out like thin water from my first cat's application. This made zero difference. I have read other negative reviews of this product with people's cat reacting badly (foaming at the mouth, tremors, loss of appetite), and I think the issue is that this is so thin that it runs from the area you pour it and then the cats are licking their fur and ingesting it. As far as I can tell the ingredients are similar to what is used in other more expensive, popular products, yet this version is WAY too thin and won't stay put on the cat's skin. Very poor design.

Better Than the Expensive Stuff
An employee at an expensive pet store (I’ll leave the name out) was the one who told me that Amazon sells flea medicine. What a hidden gem this product is! I foster kittens, plus we have 4 of our own. So flea medicine is EXTREMELY important!! I’d been using that super expensive product that starts with an F— and ends in Plus. And that product works great! But I’m poor. And there’s a lot of cats. Fleas are gross & when cats groom themselves whilst having fleas, they end up with tapeworms (even GROSSER!!). Plus, fleas and worms can be really detrimental to a kitten’s health. Some I decided to try this product to save some money. Of course, I did a lot of research first & read a lot of reviews. It seems the negative reviews are from people who’ve never used flea medicine or, most likely, applied it incorrectly. But if you e had success with F— Plus, this product will work great & save you a TON of money. As a kitten foster mom, I’m responsible for my own cats, while the place I foster for pays for & treats the kittens in my care. They use the fancy, expensive prescription product that starts with an R—, active ingredient being Spinetoram. Well, in the last year I haven’t found a single flea on MY cats, or the environment. And I’m religious about vacuuming, cleaning, & washing things. So it’s frustrating that I keep finding fleas on the kittens. And I know they are really battling fleas in their facility, even though it’s January!! It’s so important to use preventative topical flea medicine! Please don’t allow your pet (& YOU!) to suffer needlessly. I understand how expensive pet care is, & this is a cheap & effective product to keep everyone healthy & happy!! Just look at the photos, do these cats look like they’re bothered by fleas?! *Don’t forget that the Bubonic Plage was transmitted by FLEAS! lol. I hope this review helps!!

Horrible flea infestation
The point of these products is infestation prevention, I was using it on my dogs and cats. A hurrica passed along the coast causing day and night rain for 9 days straight and all of the sudden fleas were climbing me in the yard by the hundreds, and within 2 days inside the house. Over $300 on high wuality foggers and sprays, and I am still seeing some fleas in the yard. The house seems to be under control. The tooical are supposed to have growth regulators that prevent this from happening, but my dogs and cats were getting anemnic. I was having to use Capstar on them at least every other say, I've had to treat for tapeworms, and I'm keeping the topical in them. I gave a 3 star because I'm not sure if the fleas are resistsnt, there were just that many coming uphill from the swamp or if the topicsl completely failed. At best, it couldn't keep up. At worst, it didn't work at all. Fleas on animals were all alive and kicking until I gave Capstar, so it seems it wasn't working.

Took Care of the Fleas on my Maine Coon
I have an indoor Maine Coon that not only has fleas, but is having an allergic reaction to the fleas. I'm fairly certain our indoor/outdoor cat brought them in, but that cat doesn't have fleas. Anyhow, my cat tolerates this treatment well (no shedding/balding at point of treatment), and it kills the fleas within 2 days. My cat tends to go off on her own for the first day, so I'm sensing she doesn't like the fleas getting agitated before falling off. I'll continue to use this every other month (or as needed).
