As advertised. Easy to install and worked great.

Worked perfect as replacement strut for my RV underbed storage. Took one pair off and immediately replaced with these. Less than 5 minutes. Why didn't I replace it earlier? Measure carefully to make sure you have the right one to start! There was great detail in one of the pictures that allowed me to know how to measure.

These were a perfect fit for my Hot Springs Spa lid. $80 a piece if I bought them from a Spa repair place. Super easy install and lid is opening like new again. Always look for a work around on over priced repairs. Replaces both shocks. Photo of one installed.

Installed on my truck bed lid. They are really strong and easy to install. The lid raises itself almost once opened a little ways.

They seem to be working for now, but the shock shafts are about half the size of the normal ones at a 80# weight rating. I am using them for an engine cover/Sun deck on my boat. They lift and hold, but I am concerned about their longevity and resistance to side loading. It seems if they get banged into at all it will be game over. Durability could be an issue. I probably would have paid a little more for more durable struts. These will work for now I guess we will see how they do.

Tried these damper shocks on my truck canopy, a Raider(now discontinued) to replace the original mid 30's pressure. These are about 40 pressure, and certainly hold the rear window up but I was nervous about how much pressure it took to close the canopy window. After lots of use they work well, close nicely and I'm back to handfree opening once the latch is released. Not enough time yet to judge longevity thru cold winters ..but..Would buy again.

I had ordered a pair of these to replace the ones I have for my truck's tonneau cover. One showed up not working but the company sent a replacement set pretty quick. Given the force these struts produce, I assumed they would come with the 13mm ball end fittings, but no. They are fitted with 10mm ball ends, so I had to order the 13mm ball (8mm thread) fittings separately. The one I have in use seems to work ok but time will tell how they hold up on a snowmobile trailer clamshell cover that gets a ton of salt spray in the winter.
