Works Perfect with the Roland SPD-SX Pro
This pedal is fantastic!! The response time is very accurate, zero lag. The quality is top of the line great. It’s paired with my Roland SPD-SX Pro and it works flawless. I use it professionally for paid gigs. I would buy another one.

Surprisingly heavy-duty, solid pedal. About as loud as two people having a conversation
I was surprised when I unboxed the pedal. The pedal is about twice as heavy as I expected. Like many, I initially felt it was overpriced, but I now understand why. The majority of the pedal is made out of heavy, solid metal. This thing feels twice as durable as my real kick pedals, which have lasted +15 years without issue. The main reason I got this pedal, like most people, is for the quiet playing. It is indeed quiet. I thankfully have had no issue with squeaking as I saw one reviewer complained. I would feel comfortable using this pedal in an upper story apartment complex without worrying about neighbors' complaints (I've been there and experienced that). I unscientifically measured the sound level with a dB meter on my phone as I played just the pedal alone. I held my phone's microphone by my head to simulate what the drummer hears. The pedal registered between 53-68 dBA, which would make it quieter than a shower or dishwasher, and about as loud as two people having a conversation in a living room - perfectly reasonable for an apartment. When I received the pedal, I immediately adjusted the spring and beater to their maximum "heavy" setting, and I'm quite pleased with the feel (those max adjustments feel the closest to a real pedal to me). It has a similar feel to real pedals, the only subjective difference to me being the actual impact. The impact feels about 25% more responsive than a real beater. I think that makes sense, since a beater hitting a real drum head experiences a bit of 'give' as the drum head bows inward toward the drum's interior against the force of the beater. Obviously this doesn't happen with this pedal. But the other aspects of the action feel the same as a real pedal. I'm very pleased, and when budget allows, I'll be getting a second pedal to daisy-chain and complete my setup with double-pedal functionality.

Very impressing! Feels like a regular pedal.
I was skeptical, so I put my DW kick pedal right next to this so I could compare the feel of it, and honestly I felt no difference other than making less than a half of the noise compared to the regular pedal on my Roland V-drums. This thing is big, very heavy and very well constructed. It doesn't have a lot of calibration points, but luckily for me it's default config matched perfectly my DW5000. I recommend getting a KickBlock to use on this, the surface on the bottom side doesn't hold much if your are using a rug, with the KickBlock it will stay in place.

Better than the Roland's RDH-100 kick pedal and KD-10 kick pad
I love my Roland TD-27KV2 V Drums. However, the KD-10 kick that came with it isn't stable and creeps around even with the spurs extended on the RDH-100 kick pedal. I initially bought a KT-10 to use for my left pedal, and loved it so much that I decided to buy another one to replace the RDH-100 and KD-10. The action and feel are very realistic, and they're much quieter than a beater hitting a pad. The build quality is exceptional, and the smaller footprint allows me to set them up more ergonomically. The instructions indicate that it's possible to connect the two pedals for a double-pedal setup, but they also state that the output level is reduced in that configuration. So I just connect the right trigger to the kick input, and the left trigger to the AUX1. Works perfectly!

Roland KT-10 Kick Trigger Pedal - Yes its worth the investment
The pedal is one single unit. I can slide them next to acoustic pedals. This is very important. I am not sure how you can play in todays demanding styles of Funk, Grunge, Prog, Metal, or just good ole common time rock-n-roll. I was hesitant to purchase them. So far, I have two KT-10's. I will most likely purchase another 2 pedals for a new kit I am putting together. For the record, I play DW through and through. After experimenting with different drum manufacturers, my final decision is DW. DW has high standards. Perhaps they will reinvent the pedal and improve upon it. Until they do, I will stick with Roland. IMHO DW should pursue the idea of a similar pedal. When I play DW its a given the equipment will work, all the time every time. However, DW has nothing that I know of in the pipeline. The Good: Easy to carry, serial or parallel, adjustable, they don't slide. The Bad: This is Roland's first attempt. It needs a few minor improvements. I am not going to list them. Suffice it to say, its a great first try and functional as is. There is no need to hold off on purchasing a a KT-10. It's merely my opinion it could use some basic improvements. Please don't let this hold you back from pushing the button and purchasing at least one. Keep your packaging, receipts, manuals and bill of lading. If your not satisfied, return it. Bottom Line: You won't be disappointed. The pedal is responsive and portable. As a drummer who plays a plethora of genres, it does the trick. Will it replace my DW900 single pedal using the KD-7 trigger? Not just yet. This is purely a matter of taste and what you are comfortable with. I will buy more of these pedals in the future. They are extremely versatile. As stated, they fit just about anywhere you want them to be placed. I continue to study the amazing work of Thomas Lang and presented in his DVD "Creative Control". The pedals are assisting me as I work through his material and strive towards interdependence. Happy Drumming

Exactly what I needed to ditch my kit
I have a small home studio and my drum kit was taking up too much room. I paired this with my SPD-SX and used GGD's 'Modern & Massive' and now I don't need my drum kit anymore. Feel of the pedal is great and noise is low. I can finally drum at night without waking up the house. Heavy duty, durable, everything I wanted. A little expensive, but the build quality is worth it.
