Nintendo Blathers amiibo - Wii U

Original, high quality Amiibo figurines!

I love Blathers and Celeste, already had Celeste, but couldn't find Blathers at my local stores, so I turned to Amazon. This was a good price plus shipping and was pretty much the same price I would have paid, item + tax (around $9.50 or so), if I could have found it in stores. The item came in its' own box. I wasn't sure if this item was new or used because in the original description when I bought this, it stated, used - good condition, but in the title/price description it read new - never used or something similar. I see now they the description has changed to used throughout. When I finally got it and inspected it myself, I could tell it was used. I'm not mad at the fact, I still would have bought it the same either way. How could I tell it was used? There was a tiny little scratch line on the bottom where the chip would be that's read so the Wii U or Switch can know what character it is. Basically, you can only see it when light hits it a certain way. It's so minute that I think it was probably used once or twice. It is in very, very good condition, actually. There are no other scratches, dents or any other damage on it. The colors are vibrant just like his character in Animal Crossing and nothing is wrong with the caricature. It works just fine with my Nintendo Switch, even though Blathers can't live on your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons, but still get a cute interaction on screen from it. I have no complaints about Blathers. It still acts as if it's new. I also received Blathers a couple days later even though at the time I ordered, the news of Covid-19 was prevalent and everyone was on high alert. That time it was stated Prime deliveries would not be honored, tho this item was not Prime eligible, and we might have to wait. I'm happy it was delivered soon and thankful, too. Overall, great buy for me.

This looks great in person, exactly like the pictures! It's very well-made and sturdy. It works perfectly too, although I haven't used it yet in Animal Crossing: New Horizons because the amiibo functions with two features I've yet to unlock. Once I progress further, it'll give me access to Blathers for a photography service that allows me to capture screenshots of scenes I've designed, and I can invite him to the coffee shop. I'll also get to design his vacation home if I purchase the Happy Home Paradise DLC. This amiibo functions in numerous other games for the Switch though, including some third party titles like Skyrim. My boyfriend has been using it daily without issue in Breath of the Wild to generate random crafting materials. To be honest, I'm not sure I'll actually end up doing much with it in Animal Crossing, but I don't regret the purchase. Blathers is definitely one of the most charming characters in the franchise, and he looks so cute on display!

I've probably played way more Animal Crossing: New Leaf than is healthy for a human, but part of the reason is they've been making neat little changes to the game. One of those is the introduction of these little Amiibo. This is the Blathers Amiibo. Like the other Amiibo, it's adorable, and here's how it works: 1) At some point after the "Animal Crossing Welcome Amiibo" update to your game, you'll hear a voice calling out to you. Follow that voice and eventually you'll find an Aladdin-styled Genie lamp on the ground. Pick it up and take it home. 2) Put the lamp out somewhere in your home and click on it. A spirit will pop out who says he can 'possess' various characters in the game, if you have their Amiibo. You'll be prompted to set the Amiibo on the touchscreen (and you'll want to have Wireless/NFC turned on). 3) The spirit will appear looking like the Amiibo character. If you choose "Let's hang out!", he'll then possess them and make them leave their job and go hang out in the campground. When this happens, you can go visit them in their RV and buy things from them. Be aware this also means they'll be away from their posts! Because this spirit has possessed them and convinced them to go take the day off. Things return to normal the next day. This makes a cute and fun add-on to the Animal Crossing game. It's just a shame that Nintendo limits every Amiibo to specific individual titles--it would be more fun if you could use them across multiple games.

Amiibo was fine just covered in some odd substance upon arrival.

The Animal Crossing amiibos, in general, seem a little more cheaply-made than their Smash Bros. counterparts. Pieces like his shirt/chest are a bit raised, and seem glued on, rather than seamless pieces of the plastic. They also don't offer as much in the way of in-game functionality... only being useful for a few skins in the Animal Crossing games for the 3DS and Wii-U. However, the figurine is a nice addition to a collection, if you're inclined to amass the things. All said, I wouldn't have bought this figurine if it wasn't on sale. But I snagged it for $4, so not bad.

Estos amiibos de animal crossing me encantan ya que los diseños estan excelente muy detallados y el precio la verdad estan muy atractivo supongo que por que la gente no los pelo en su momento como otros amiibos pero la verdad muy bien asi los fans podemos hacernos de esta coleccion a un precio mas justo ya que con la subida del dolar estas figuras subieron el 100% de precio el año pasado

La compre en promocion y llego muy bien protegido, recomendado para completar la coleccion, pero lo ideal es comprarlo junto con cualquier otro articulo para que no lo envien en bolsa
