GRAND ORANGE Console Armrest Compatible with Subaru BRZ Toyota 86 2013-2018 / Scion FRS 2013-2019 Black Armrest Box with Red Stitching

I bought this for my car since it didn't have one and it felt incomplete, I really didn't like the look of not having a cover for the giant empty space between the seats. My bf had encouraged me to buy it since he said he'd do all the work. At first I was worried cause all the ppl on YouTube said it was difficult for them but my bf had it done in less than an hr and a half, if you are handy then this is totally a great find and if youre not I still say go for it ! It's not hard to mess up you just need a helping hand to hold some stuff in place or to pass tools along :) I would recommend taking the center part out and doing the drilling somewhere else, it's a lot more convenient and so much more comfortable in this heat. It seemed fairly easy and I believe there is videos on YouTube that will show you how to remove it.

I'm not sure if there's a qaulity difference between this product and the more expensive version of FT86 speed factory and the hardwar is crap. And from the passenger sides you can see the drilled holes.

Perfect? No. Good product considering price? Yes. Lost threaded inner piece of one of the female hardware pieces down inside center console while screwing in screw. Armrest still stays in place although I'm sure a hard tug upwards would pull armrest's lower frame off of console. Materials are close to car's interior materials but is noticeable only upon close inspection. Latch does not latch very consistently but the lid sits flush and hides my junk in cupholder area (main reason i purchased this). Not very cushiony, pretty firm. Hinge is very squeeky, will attempt to lubricate later. Install is easy but you need to drill holes into your console (ouch). 10/10 would buy this again especially considering it currently costs approx 25% of OEM armrest. Now the real test: time. Hopefully it will not fade or break.

The product itself is great especially for the value. Perfect height to rest my arm with my hand on the shift knob. But leather seems to wrapped over hard plastic, there's no cushion at all which I guess is okay considering the price. Does not come with any instructions, I had to watch a youtube tutorial on it. The hardware it comes with to install the armrest is absolutely useless. I had to make a quick run to home depot to buy drywall anchor which cost me around $3 but it works 10x better .

Installed on a BRZ. The "Leather" matches the factory color and grain and the red stitching is right on the money. Getting the holes drilled did not appear to be an easy task but I downloaded a template on a Toyota service site and used that to help mark where to drill. The Toyota instructions call for 8mm and 5mm drill bits. You will only need an 8mm for this item as it is a little bit different from the OEM part. Very pleased with the look after the install. The OEM part goes for $200.00 this is 40 dollars. Is it exactly the same ? Probably not exactly the same but hard to see how much better the OEM part could be for the additional dollars. One thing, make sure holes are cleaned out of plastic and smooth but not too big for the fasteners. Tighten by hand, gently. Took about an hour (not rushing).

The armrest fit perfectly and was fairly easy to install. It looks great!! It is well made and matches perfectly with the rest of the interior. The only issue I had was that the screws and anchors were missing so I had to purchase anchors and screws locally.

the quality of the nuts and bolts are very bad. The screws are not long enough at times, and the bolts fall apart easily since the middle metal part does not stay inside the rubber shell. If you buy this, expect a headache and to spend more time and money to fix what you started. No going back after drilling holes in your interiors

hardware is terrible, so I had to buy amother set of screws and nuts and made something work, the button on it is already not always locking.
