Works great. Easy to use

I bought this because I needed a jacket stripper but I don't need one often enough to justify buying one of the more expensive ones. I was definitely surprised at how well this jacket stripper worked, considering it was less than half the price of the other more well known brand strippers. My only two complaints are the turn-to-cut up the jacket doesn't always work and when you are spinning it around to cut the cable jacket, it sometimes strays and you have a slightly jagged cut on the jacket. After a little practice you'll get the feel for it and the jagged edges won't happen very often. But overall great value for the money.

This tool really works for the soow cable and the likes for re moving the seathing like peeling a banana, never have i every removed the seathing so easily from this or any cable simliar to this soow so easily. Must have tool , I looked all over home depot they don't carry it , hardwares they don't carry it lije Amazon was the only place to had found it, you set it for depth and then adjust the spring loaded silver follower clamp , straighten the soow cable out , attach to the soow wire seathing, go around once , then I remove the tool and kink the soow cable at the slit injust made, this pulls the rubber easily apart thats left if depth of cut was not perfect and twist and pull the seathing off , so easy , no more knicked or cut wire seathing . Wow, i wished I'd had this tool so many years ago, makes removing the rubber seathing so much easier and its so quick, when you have alot of the this 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 , and 10 guage soow rubberized cable to put ends on, wow, life is so much easier. Now , my hands and fingers are not getting cut up anymore either, since I bought this tool, it is a time saver and safety tool to have handy when your working with these style of cables .

Bought this tool after first buying the similarly priced Weicon stripper that looks similar. The difference in quality is stark. The Weicon, despite the German engineering, is 60 grams of plastic crap. The only adjustment is blade height, and that feels loose. Inconsistent performance. The Stedi model feels solid in the hand, and weighs almost 3x as much. Adjustments for blade height and cable size. Adjustments feel solid, like they'll stay in place. Pick this one.

Pretty much completely worthless at stripping TPU coating from a cable.

Maybe it works well on larger diameter and more rigid cables, but on smaller size and with more flexible sheathing it is hard to make circular cut, it tends to spiral, it also seems that cut depth shifts after each cut so you have to readjust for each cut.

great tool but the cutter is not straight, so it will spiral down the cable in one direction. i make sure i go counter clockwise with mine so my thumb keeps it in line. mine is probably defective but it's alright
