LeapFrog My Pal Scout

The LeapFrog My Pal Scout is a sweet, huggable toy that helps my grandson learn songs, names, and routines in a playful, gentle way. Its soft feel and cheerful voice make it an instant favorite toy, especially when I personalize it with his name. With its mix of learning and cuddly comfort, it’s a wonderful little companion he reaches for again and again.

Original Violet will always be the best however this Violet is good too. Original Violet, when I got it in 2010, had more options for favorite food and favorite animal. I think one even had the ability to download music. I also think the voice was a bit calmer. Original Violet lasted 11 years!! The second Violet I got lasted 3 years. This is the 3rd Violet I have gotten. Original Violet got a special person though medical problems as a baby and toddler. The goodnight songs continue to be a calming sound for this person although the songs are different. The 5min feature is wonderful. It can be on a lower volume or higher volume (The lower volume is loud enough IMO). If Leap Frog could ever get me original Violet again I would be eternally grateful.

This is the cutest little bear ever! My nephew is obsessed. I love that it can spell his name and but it calls him by his nickname — such a thoughtful feature. Scout is his new bestie 😭 will definetly buy this for every toddler!!!

I first bought Violet for my 9 month old daughter 5yrs ago for Christmas. She has loved this toy so much, it is by her bed every night playing bedtime music, we even have to pack it when we go on vacation! Like I said we have had it for almost 5 yrs and have never had a problem with it. It does require batteries but it doesn't drain them very quickly like some toys can. I'd say that we go months without having to change the battery and the toy gets daily use. When my now 3 yr old was born I bought her a Scout toy of her own, and same story she loves it! I personalized these when both girls were very young and now that they are older and have opinions on favorite color, food and animal I can go in and update those. And if they change their minds again it's very easy to do. I just bought Scout again as a baby gift for my new nephew only to find that it has been improved from the older versions my daughters have. Previously you had to use a PC with a USB port and download the software to personalize Scout. Now Scout comes with a 'headphones" connector that can be plugged right in to an iPad or iPhone and the personalization process is even faster and easier! It even has an easy to open flap on the back of the package so that it can be personalized and given as a gift without having to remove Scout from its original packaging! I think this is brilliant, they really thought of everything! I would give this toy 10 stars if I could! There aren't many toys that will keep a child's interest for 5yrs and going! I hope that my nephew loves it as much as my daughters have.

Being customizable sets this apart from the rest. It was very easy to customize, the hardest part is finding a phone or tablet these days with a aux port which you need in order to customize the toy. My son loves Scout and has everything he makes almost, and all are great products. This Scout is by far the best one yet. Its My 1 year Olds favorite toy. Being able to have it know the child's name, favorite color and animal and food. By saying his name it gets his attention and then he's learning animal sounds, or has 5 min sleep music which he sleeps with his scout. We have only had this a week so far. He has the other two talking animals the elephant and the fisher price dog and he didn't get into either of them the way he has with Scout. I also like there is a girl option Violet. This is a must for parents with kids 2-3 and under. Also the 3-1 scout walker is a great product too, Works in the laying, sitting, and walking positions and when in walking position also doubles as activity table. We started with the mini Scout that would clip onto his carseat, stroller, and crib. This was a favorite but is outgrown it and did a upgrade haha. Don't think twice about getting this toy, especially as awesome as it is for under $25.

Overall great quality, but cant get it to download the info from phone or laptop to the toy.

This toy is adorable. They make it for a boy or a girl. We have given it as a baby shower gift for years. Everyone loves it. It is customizable. Not very expensive at all. Our granddaughter has had this same toy for five years. It is entertaining for a newborn with the music and the voice customization, but it carries them well past their toddler years with the songs. Very entertaining.

LOVE Scout and Violet so much for little ones. I have Violet from over 13 years ago. I was able to personalize my favorite songs for her in addition to the food, color and animal. This new Scout I just bought for my great nephew is a little louder than my Violet which is awesome. I am unable to personalize songs but I LOVE that there is now 5, 10, 15 minutes of bedtime music. My old Violet had 2min, 5min and 10min. You definitely need longer bedtime music and I love this new Scout has added more. Would highly recommend these little stuffed doggies so much!!!!! They really do go from 6 mos. to 36 mos. , my little great niece clung to Violet at bedtime from 9 mos. well into her toddler years.

Bought for my son last Christmas. He was 10 months. At the time, I would say my 2.5 year old got more use out of it, but now at 18 months, he loves it. You can personalise it by plugging if in to the computer and choosing the child's name, favourite colour, favourite food and favourite animal. You can also choose which songs you would like it to play when they squeeze its paw, which is great for when they get too repetitive and annoying. Not all children's names are available as you must choose from a library, rather than inputting any name, although there are plenty to choose from. There is a paw to squeeze to sing songs, including a song about the child's name and one about their favourite things; a foot to squeeze for bedtime mode, so he will play lullabies for a chosen number of minutes to help your child sleep; and the collar lights up in four different colours when some songs are played. The other paw enables you to play games with Scout, like guessing an object he's describing, and the left foot switches him on and off. There is also a volume control inside scout on his battery pack which enables you to switch from high to low. Neither I find offensive, but low is quite quiet (although we have a busy house so may not be if you have less children!), so we usually have him on high volume so my son can hear him. We find that sufficient for night time lullabies too. A great little toy for a brilliant price that my son loves, and when he grows out of it, I can reprogram it for him little sister, so can get plenty of use out of it! He is very cuddly despite his battery pack and a good size too. Overall, a fantastic toy with some educational value that I imagine we will get a good few years of play from, at a cheap price. Well worth the money I think.

Quick delivery and toy was as I expected nice and easy to install. My baby loves it. I recommend to everyone.
