Vienna® Beef Hard Salami 1.2 lbs.

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and Vienna Beef Salami was a treat. As kids we would fight over the harded end. Same today as it was then, but i dont have to share with my siblings!! Great stuff and as described, garlic, smoky, awesome!

Salami was delivered safely and on time. Delicious.

Growing up in Chicago and living there for almost 40 years, I am very familiar with Vienna products, and have enjoyed them for as long as I can remember. From the hot dogs to the Italian beef to the Polish sausage, they have all been consistently the best you could buy. The salami on the other hand was a different story. Not at all what I expected. I purchased two of them and both were thrown away after opening them. The texture was the same, I would imagine, as chewing on a plastic dog toy. There was no flavor at all, a tad bit of greasiness, but no flavor . After opening the first one, I thought I just was shipped a bad one, but both of the salami's were the same. The casings were in tack, there was no black or grey mold or sent of being rancid. They were just flavorless and had a strange mouth feel. Consequently, on the same day, I purchase Evreyskaya dry salami and it was fantastic. The flavor and mouth feel were spot on. Interestingly enough, that salami is made in Mundelein Il, a suburb of Chicago as I am sure you are aware. Vienna salami is the best. But the cost is completely out of hand. Enjoyed the salami but will not order it again unless Vienna reduces the price.

And at a price of over $30 a stick I was expecting to be disappointed but will buy again and again I’m sure. My only “complaint “ (which high isn’t even enough to deduct a star) is that the plastic it’s wrapped in is pretty deadly. Both me and my daughter ended up ingesting some accidentally before we realized how meticulous you have to be getting it off

Not a lot of flavor, somewhat blend. Good value. Delivered in sealed package.

Wonderful salami! Reminded me of what I grew up knowing! This is the best!

I did not care for the Salami so much. It is very bland. The bite of it is fine, just no flavor as a good salami should have. Very disappointed and glad I tried a few pieces before serving to guest.
