Derwent Push Button Waterbrush Assorted Set (2305816)

I am a big fan or Derwent and their new water brushes do not disappoint. They are easy to transport. The size is a little larger around than I thought but I am not complaining. They hold quite a bit of water. I like the push button because it allows me to easily control how much water is released. They have not leaked and that is very important. If you are on the fence, treat yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

These water brushes work beautifully for me doing small, on the go paintings. I don’t use water brushes for the brush stroke. There’s no way to get a great brush stroke with any water brush, compared to professional quality brushes. There is one thing about these brushes that I discovered that has me reaching for them more frequently than my other water brushes. By squeezing a little water into a small painted area, I can get the watercolor paint to have texture and granulation. This makes a small painting much more interesting. There is one flaw with this set of brushes, and I’m surprised at it. The cap doesn’t post onto the brush when you’re using the brush. This makes it easy to lose the cap. This happened to me, and that is why I have ordered another set. I hope Derwent will fix this one thing. Also, I forgot one other positive quality of this brush set. The brushes hold a lot of water in its reservoir. For a small painting I didn’t need to add water, a there was still plenty of water left. In a small travel palette, I can squeeze a little water into the paint with the round brush. Another useful feature. I’m not sure if they’re meant to be used this way, I’ve just been doing this to have a wetter wash for more transparent glazing or filling in areas where I want more light.

I really love this Derwent Push Button Waterbrush Set! The brushes feel great in my hand and the push button makes it super easy to control the water flow — just the right amount when you need it. The assorted sizes are perfect for everything from fine details to washes. My only small complaint is that the cap doesn’t fit on the end of the brush while in use, so I have to keep track of it separately. Other than that, these are fantastic brushes and I’d definitely buy them again!

I’m not a HUGE fan of water brushes, but these are quite good for taking out in public. Less to carry. Of all the water brushes I have, these are by far the best ones I’ve found. They were recommended by YouTuber “The Mind of Watercolor”

I found these difficult to open the barrel in order to fill with water. Once filled and put back together, it was hard to get the water to flow through the bristles. I have used other water brush pens with much better results.

These are very well made. They work excellently with the Inktense pencils .

I love these. The flat brush in particular is my favorite, but the others get a good share of use too. These are much higher in price than what I paid (€20 for 4) but, they've never leaked on me (and I fly a lot with them too!)...

Me está gustando pintar con ellos. Buen control de presión para la saluda del agua. Hay que tener en cuenta que la rosca es débil, se me rompió una de ellas. Teniendo cuidado, no hay problema.

I've used many different waterbrushes and these are some of the best as you can regulate the water that comes through with the push-button feature. These come in different sizes.
