Greek Halva Organic With Honey 250g (8.8 oz)

This was my first time having Greek halva and I personally thought it was great! Plus it is organic and made with very few ingredients, which makes it simple and great in my opinion.

Yumtastic! It tastes so peanutty. I’ve bought this one twice because this one is my go-to as a sweet treat when I have that “sweet tooth” so to speak. I just dig into with a spoon. No one else in my home eats it because they don’t like the texture of Halva but I love it. Just a couple spoonfuls this yummy goodness is just enough to give me that sweet fix I’m looking for and I cover it with the foil again, shove back into its box but I also put it into a gallon sized bag and wrap it tightly and stick it into the fridge. When I first received it, it was a bit oily because it was hot out and the oils had pooled around the Halva. So know it will do that if it gets warm. It will soak it back up once it cooled back off or placed in the fridge. Don’t pour off the oils or it will make it super dry and it’s already a little dry as Halva should be. Stay away from the cocoa flavored one as it is absolutely disgusting. It’s super stringy. I took one bite of that one and immediately tossed it. The taste was fine but I couldn’t get past the texture. I should’ve listened to the reviews on that one by this same company but I bought it just to try and that was a waste of money. I’ll stick with this one. If you like peanut butter this you’ll love. It has hint of a peanut butter flavor in every bite. Not too much that it’s overbearing but it’s perfect. Just thinking about it makes me want to go eats some right now. lol Welp, no need in just thinking about it. Let me go grab my spoon and Halva.

Ordered this after trying it on a trip to Cyprus as part of a full-Turkish breakfast. Ordered this brand because it was organic and sweetened ONLY with honey and didn’t have seed oils added.

Absolutely decadent. Made with 2 ingredients: crushed sesame seeds and honey. Organic. I love honey so this is a wonderful halva for me. The texture is smooth, slightly crumbly. But the fact that it is crumbly is because it is made with honey and not sugar or glucose syrup. I believe that is the difference. The colour is a light golden. I would definitely purchase again but not from this seller. The price has almost doubled since I purchased it about 2 weeks ago.

It’s halva. Not the best, not the worst. It’s dry and not very sweet but edible nonetheless.

This does not taste similar to other halvah I have eaten. The halvah is definitely much smoother, there is not even a hint of grit, other halvah I have tried have noticeable grit. Much of the flavor comes from the honey it is made with. This honey taste has not been in other halvah. This is delicious. Over a few days in my refrigerator this halvah became somewhat dry. This makes sense, as water in the honey evaporates. When I noticed this I placed it in a sealed plastic bag. The foil top of the pan it comes in does not make tight seal, it is not adequate to close the package after opening it. Concern about drying out is as important as anything I could say in reviewing this halvah.

Last time we ordered and it was perfect.. greek halva sweetened with honey. This time I clicked same item from my order history and reordered it while making sure it still had same description and it did. However it came in the mail today and was chocolate halva sweetened with stevia and maltitol, etc. Someone else probably is enjoying my real greek halva with honey which is great by the way when they send it. At least I got a quick refund. I know mix-ups happen. Maybe next time!
