LEE Men's Carpenter Jean Short

These are my husband's favorite jean shorts. He is 6' tall and they are just a tiny bit shorter on him than the model. The waist is his usual size and it fits with some room to spare. They hang well. They have a straight but roomy leg. His iphone8plus fits perfectly in the side pocket and he would have to stand on his head for it to fall out. The cotton is dense but not thick. It is soft. They wash very well and if they shrank he did not notice. They are what he calls "normal" denim. That means they are all cotton and look and feel like it, strong, flexible, and look like traditional denim. He liked them so much I got him 5 more pair.

I was enjoying these and had a "small disagreement" with a miniature lion. Actually, it was a serious error in my judgement. We were in a rush for time and the lion had soiled itself in the carrier. We needed the lion inside our 5th wheel RV but it needed to be rinsed clean first. I attempted to hold the tiny lion while my GF applied a water hose to wash him. It became instantly clear that this wasn't going to work and brought the lion to the deck in an attempt to use the ground to assist in further retraining it.It was at this moment that I discovered there were two dogs in the yard and they were very curious as to what was going on. This only further infuriated the already incensed lion and he decided that eating me might help him escape.Once part of my body was pierced by those massive fangs, it became an issue of survival. Should I release the lion, it would dart away and be lost. There was also some fleeting thought how much more damage I would suffer as its feet and talons sought traction.All ended rapidly as my GF opened the door of the carrier and I shoved the head of the wild beast inside and it released it's grip seeking escape.With the violence de escalated I sought refuge in the air conditioned RV where this retired Marine cried harder than an antifa "activist" who just had his baseball bat taken from him. Meanwhile my GF completed the cleansing mission while the very unhappy lion remained in the carrier.The blood.....MINE.... covered the left leg of my comfy shorts and so I just ordered another set.NOTE No non humanoid animals were injured and the tiny lion and I are back on very friendly terms.....though each with a better understanding of the other.

I've worn the same jeans for years. I'm actually a 31, but that size is difficult to find and since I don't mind a little extra room, I ordered a size 32. These are very comfortable on me and I really like all the pockets. I use one of the side pockets for my phone. It's a nice fit. These jeans are very comfortable and durable.

32" - RetroBeen buying Lee jeans 'forever', because they fit me well. I'm 6' and thin.I purchased a few pair of these same jeans last year from Kohl's, but the material was 75% Cotton/25% Polyester.The ad for these shorts said, '100% Cotton', so I bought a pair. They are NOT! They are the same as the others I purchased last year from Kohl's, 75% Cotton and 25% Polyester. So a little false advertising going on here.The quality is the same as the others. They will work. I just hate the false statement about the product.

We bought lee carpenter jeans and shorts for one of my sons in size 38, original stone at the same time. Jeans fit fine, shorts are way too small. My other son who usually wears 36" can barely get the shorts on - so they apparently run really small or have poor controls in the factory.

Becoming more difficult to find "normal" denim shorts that are durable and withstand actual wear. So glad I looked on Amazon for these. We used to be able to find this style in many stores, now most places carry men's shorts that are more designer or too long in length...We have had several pairs of this style over the years and they hold up very well. Will definitely come back for more!

Good fit, good color, sturdy jean material, all cotton, washable, good pockets. These shorts are not stretch material, but the standard jean with a loose fit style which is very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Maybe I expected too much out of modern clothing listed as "carpenter..." anything, since the vast majority aren't buying for anything heavy duty anyway. But this just seems too far...first minutes that I owned these shorts I went to pop the tags off. One of the little plastic tag holders flexed under my finger, pulled right through the fabric, and ripped a hole out. Really? Upon closer inspection, I noticed how thin the denim is on these things...obviously, thin enough for a 1/16"-diameter plastic tab to defeat it. I'll go back to Levi's. 2 stars since if you carefully cut the tab with scissors, maybe you'll luck out and get a dozen washes on these things before they wear out.

Excellent shorts - usual Lee high quality with very good denim and good finish. Cut a bit on the baggy side but I suppose Carpenter style is just supposed to be that way.

A fantastic pair of shorts, needed to buy another pair as my belly has grown since I bought my last pair which I have had great wear out of.

Much too big and shape not expected

Je l'aime bien quoique ce n"est pas vraiment mon genre. Je le trouve un peu trop rigide, je préfèere les tissus plus légers. Ceci dit j'assune mon choix et je le porte moins régulierement. Cependant il a sa place dans mon garde-robe.

These shorts are accurately sized. Delivery time was far too long, and I was tempted to return them. However, I do not know whether this was the vendor's fault, or that of the shipping company.
