Super comfortable and great looking sandals!
I bought these sandals last minute in preparation for a tropical vacation and I'm so glad I did! I had initially looked into getting the Teva sandals but was really put off by the high price point and was hoping to find a cheaper alternative. While I can't provide a direct comparison between CIOR and Teva, I can say that throughout my entire trip I never once regretted going with CIOR and was instead incredibly happy with my purchase. Not only are they roughly $20 cheaper, but the CIOR sandals are built to provide all the support you need – the foot bed has just the right amount of cushion while the straps (which include padding along the heel to avoid blisters, a great little feature!) basically allow you to tailor the fit of the sandals exactly to your liking, and helped ensure there was no slippage throughout the long days of walking on pavement, hiking paths, and even sand. While I hadn't planned on taking them into the water, I did find myself accidentally stepping into a muddy puddle and was pleasantly surprised at 1) how the muddy water didn't ruin any part of the sandal and 2) how easily they cleaned off. In addition to them being extremely comfortable and sturdy, I ended up loving the all-black look and was able to dress them up for dinners out. As someone who can be very picky about their sandals (others can be too hard, slip too much, not provide enough support, etc.), I'm extremely happy with this pair and plan on using them in my regular day-to-day life from here on out. (As a quick note, if you wear a half-size like me (8.5), I'd recommend sizing up! I went with the size 9 and found it to be a great fit).

Good Quality
Ordered these when the strap of my Chaco broke so that I had something to wear while waiting for new ones. I was surprised at how nice these are and how well they hold up! The footbed is very comfortable and great for everyday wear. I have worn them hiking and through many rivers and lakes and a year later they still look just like they did when I got them. I’ve never had any issues cleaning them and like that you can adjust the sandals to perfectly fit your feet. Since these don’t come in half sizes I did size down to a 9 (I normally wear a 9.5-10) and they fit just fine. I will say I don’t recommend them for long hikes though as I find the material starts to make my feet burn on the bottom by the end of it in a way that the traditional Chaco or Teva footbed doesn’t cause. This has never bothered me for shorter hikes though (under 3-5 miles depending on difficulty of the trail).

Cute, decent quality
Cute, lightweight, comfortable. Fits true to size. Sole does feel a bit like a yoga mat as advertised. Could use a little more arch support. Velcro is sewn on poorly but would be easy to trim off.

Saved my swollen feet
Honestly can't recommend these sandals enough. I bought them for going to North India last year & didn't need to break them in at all because they were already so comfortable. I bought these with the OG Tevas to compare and these were better 1) because of the cushier sole (the Tevas were firmer) & 2) because of the cushioned backstrap, which eliminates chafing/blistering concerns. They worked great for my trip! More recently, I just used them almost daily for 2 weeks in Portugal and they continue to save my life because they really hold up to a lot of walking (I was going along a lot of steps on castle walls and cobblestone streets). Do note that since there's no traction on the bottom, they can be a little slippery on smoothed-stone or similar paths. The reason they really saved my life is because for both trips, the flights left my feet swollen to hell and the strap placement on these completely avoids where that swelling happens. Put on a pair of my flip flops for a second for a beach trip and immediately went "Hell no" because that V goes directly over where feet swell on the top. Basically, if you're looking for Teva dupes, you're in the right place, ESPECIALLY with that cushioned back strap. If you're looking for no-break-in-required walking sandals that are very adjustable and roomy, you continue to be in the right place!!!

Pretty darn comfy!
So I tried on Tevas at the shoe store near me and right away I fell in love. It kills me because my family still picks on me at 36 for wearing these types of sandals as a kid alllll the time. Buuut 8 year old me was smart because they are truly so comfy in my opinion. When I saw the price on the Tevas I about fell over, though! I decided to try out these when I found them here on Amazon. The reviews looked promising and the price was less than half that of Tevas and so far, one week in, I am NOT disappointed!!! I know it’s not been long enough to say anything about the actual longer term quality of them, but they are so comfy. Cute! I love being able to adjust them as I need to. The slightly padded heel strap is great. I haven’t had any issues with rubbing anywhere and I have wide, knobby feet. I usually prefer barefoot shoes and these work great. Not a lot of arch support, but I like that because too much usually hits my foot isn’t the wrong area and makes my legs ache. I am just loving these! I got them wet when it rained two days ago and was worried my feet would be sliding around in them but nope. The wet storefront was not slick like I worried it would be. Everything’s just been great and I am excited to use these for some hikes we plan on doing this year. I will try to remember to update this if I have any issues! I am pretty broke half of the time so if these just hold up for one summer I will be ecstatic for $20+tax!
