I had purchased several Waveshare devices for cell connectivity. After days of frustration due to poor documentation, as well as non existent customer service. I gave up on that brand and purchased this product. What a difference, within 10 min I was up and had cell service. If you do not wish to bang your head on a wall, do yourself a favor and try this product.

Does not work and unresponsive support
So… the thing doesn’t work. There are signs of connection from time to time for just a few bytes but nothing usable. I’m in the US trying to use the Global service. I haven’t tried another sim but I don’t recommend this. Tested on Orange pi 3b via gpio and usb, raspberry pi 2 via gpio and usb, and MacBook Pro using usb, all had the same problem.

Good product Sufficient enough for most needs.
I bought this product for my image processing project with Raspberry Pi. I installed it easily with the sim card and software that came with it. I did not expect such a fast and stable LTE connection. $25 free credit has met my needs so far. The data plans they offer for the future also seem affordable.

Cant get it up and working
It's most likely due to my own lack of experience with these things, but following the tutorial to a T, and with hours of debugging using whatever resources I can find online, I've been unable to get the Cellular module working properly. GPS works pretty good, not the most accurate (~30 meters off) so ill give it a star for that

SixFab is the way to go.
I did not buy this here but from SixFab. If you have a Raspberry Pi and Need Cellular LTE then this is for you. I have tried lots of others and the SixFab hat is the best. The support and documentation is very good. It has worked flawlessly for me. Setup can be a bit tricky but since then they have updated their online guides so it should be really easy now. The quality of the hardware itself is stellar.

Alright,
The core software that drives this thing is a bit rube when it comes to managing the routes and ifmetric position on your device. You'll find it messes with which interface is priority. And no their web-based interface manager doesn't not work effectively. It does provide reasonable plug and play cell compatibility, and remains a unique product with unique uses.

Not Perfect but engaged
The item i ordered was missing a key component but once I contacted the seller they quickly remedied the issue. I would recommend working with this seller.
