Great for my anxious dog
I have a rescue dog that has a lot of anxiety, including (but not limited to) separate anxiety. This is a great item to give him when I need to leave the house. I cheat and buy dog safe baby food (dog safe meaning veggies & fruits that dogs can eat). I add the baby food, stick it in the freezer overnight, and give it to him as I leave the house for work. It takes him 20-25 minutes to clean it out, then he sleeps with my other dog for the rest of the day. I also use this when I have people come over. This did not 100% solve his separation anxiety, it is a single tool that I use along with other tools to help him. He does not understand the concept of a Kong, and will not like food or treats out of it. This is a great alternative to that. HOWEVER, if you have a dog that likes to chew on things, this might not be the right tool for you. While the plastic give it a little more durability, it would not stand up to even mild chewing. Super easy to clean. I either soak it in some hot water or toss it in the dishwasher.

My Dog & I Both Love this! ;)
No, you will not find me licking the lickimat myself, however, I love it nonetheless. This has been an awesome way to entertain my dog on very long car rides, when clipping his nails (which he hates), or just to relax him when he’s full of puppy energy. I have a few different styles of lickimats, and once at a family gathering with multiple dogs, we filled the lickimats with peanut butter and gave them to each of the dogs so they did not make their rounds begging family members for food. We all ate in peace (including the doggos!). These seem to take dogs longer to clean out the snack than most Kong styles, and freezing adds on more time for fun! Often after using the lickimat, my dog lays down to rest, as licking is a soothing activity for most dogs. Highly recommend! Note: this style does not have suction, but if I place it against the wall, I do not have issue with it sliding around. It is easy to clean with dish soap and a spray nozzle, but has also survived many rounds in the dishwasher! Also, always watch your dog while giving them this so they don’t start to chew! Most dogs I’ve used these with had the instinct to lick it, but some would try to chew if it got tricky (for the last of the peanut butter). If your dog is a chewer, I suggest holding the lickimat up for them and giving them lots of praise for licking it correctly so they learn how to use the fun new toy safely!

As advertised
I got the blue one for my boy and it was adorable! trouble was... he didn't care for it at all. I would recommend getting something with more than one design on it for interest. Nowadays it makes a perfect little makeup brush cleaner mat!!

AMAZING! I’m finally able to eat my dinner …
I have a giant schnauzer with some behavioral issues. I have tried every puzzle out there and by far this is the FIRST puzzle that ACTUALLY works. I’ve tried many different sniffle mates but they just always ended up getting messy and was finding kibbles all over my floor after. Plus he got pretty bored and for him to be engaged I had to sit with him as he was using the sniffle mats which defeated the purpose of him entertaining himself while I could do my own thing (such as eating dinner without being disturbed lol). I’ll be honest, I was a little skeptical but was willing to try anything. I thought it would be something like the Kong (which also didn’t work too well for my dog and was even more messier than the sniffle mats). I was completely WRONG! First off, it is SUPER easy to use! I mean I can spread the wet food in less than 5 mins and it’s ready. Another cool thing, when I used the KONG, I had to make sure I freeze it overnight, with this I can spread the wet food on at 6:00 PM and by 8 PM it’s completely frozen! My recommendation is to spread it in the middle bc I noticed when I spread it all the way to the corners he usually ignores that area. SO EASY to clean! But try to clean it right after your dog is finished so that it doesn’t dry up in the crevices. When he’s done I simply rinse it off in the sink and it removes any left over food. The one and only downfall, is that it only last for about 15 mins but that could be just bc I have a large dog so I do hope in the future they come out with larger sizes. Even 15 mins of distraction helps me eat half my dinner in peace lol. Freezing it will definitely help make it last longer, I feel like for a small dog it would probably last even longer. I also included a photo, my dog is a little bit of a chewer and he did chew off a few pieces of the rubber but it did not ruin the product whatsoever bc the spread still goes over it perfectly fine. Overall 5 STARS!!!!! If the owner of the product is reading this review, please consider making larger mats :)

Durable and Perfect for Our Dog's Therapy Sessions
We have a retired therapy dog with arthritis, and as part of his rehabilitation, he does physical therapy three times a day. My wife had bought the original LickiMats several years ago when we had puppies, but they didn’t hold up well over time. I decided to try the heavy-duty version, and it’s been a great improvement. The durability is much better, and they’re able to handle regular use without showing wear. We love the versatility—being able to use different types of food is a big plus. Our favorite is mixing peanut butter and yogurt, then freezing the mat overnight. This keeps our dog engaged for his 30-minute PT sessions, especially when only one of us is available to help. These mats have really made a difference in keeping him focused and happy during therapy. Highly recommended for anyone in a similar situation!

Lick and can survive dog chewing.
This is the third licky pad i bought. This is the only one my pupoy did not destroy. The licky pad is a great concept but if its not made iof tough plastic, the dog will chew it and destroy it. Keeps my puppy busy for an hour.

Ultimately didn’t hold up
Ultimately didn’t hold up. Lasted a few times but on the third time it got destroyed! Not great for heavy chewers.

I bought one of these along with the less complex square one. This one in particular was bought for my fast eater and instantly wonder why I haven't done this before. I've tried the standard complex bowl type to slow her down but she still managed to scoff her daily serve down in half the time of her bigger sibling. Serving her diet of raw meal on this has halved her pace and she really seems to enjoy the complexity. I am impressed. Buy these, even if they're just for treats. I can honestly recommend them.

J'ai une chienne de 20 semaines et elle arrive à tout détruire mais elle se comporte bien avec son Lickmat - utile pour des chiens qui mangent trop vite ou pour un petit cadeau pour le toutou

Really good idea. Slows down the dog's ability to eat too fast. And I hope it is working to help clean the build up of tartar on their teeth.
